[SPOILERS] The Rise of Lewger: A BacoN of Bacon Revenge (bacOn bAcoNbAcon) Bacon

has azza ever had a peaceful border in any PB with anyone? I would think he would welcome that smile looks good. who is Scooter fighting? will we have graphs on Jester anytime soon?

If we have 4 cities before Azza settles his third I'll be very happy smile

How soon until we have riverside cottages being worked?

Eh no Azza has never had peace. In this game we have a lot of room to expand North and West though o I'm willing to give it to him.

He's obviously leveraging Joao well. mischief

Depends on what I choose to do with the workers. Right now I have the worker from gems city scheduled to cottage a grassland next to the gems city. Then it will move to cottage the rivergrass at the capital. The capital is also getting a riverside PHmine though in the meantime (shareable with the copper city) courtesy of the worker that is chopping on the PHmine. The worker next to the river grass is going to chop the barracks which is more important at the moment and the worker south of the capital must start roading to the 4th city + pasture those pigs ASAP. I think the worker that is going to do the PHmine will also help road south when its free.

Anyway I sat and stared at the screen for a while earlier this morning and those were the thoughts I came away with.

Inching closer to safety. Azza did nothing last turn but he has yet to play this one. Still no cities. I really don't understand.

AH came in and we have horses, as does Azza:

Does this change our dotmap slightly? Site E is on top of horses, I renamed it Z and placed markers for X and Y which I think might be the alternative to planting directly on the horses. They are a bit squished, but I'm not sure that's all bad. In any case are horses a priority settling? As long as we get Site B up, I don't predict war with Azza and thus no reason to hurry to get horses. We can settle C after B and then settle X or Z after that to grab horses. Looking at it again I might not be so opposed to settling on the horses. Eh, we'll see.

Azza's horses are NW of his capital about 2 tiles out. So if he wants horses he'll have to settle away from us.

Power graph remained constant no change between any of the 3 civs. Our ae hasn't shown up yet and is now moving towards B. You can see him in the screenie.

how fast will we need horses? Icity #6 would be nice, 1 north of the horses. "C" will just have to work all 3 floodplains instead of sharing. thats ok, it will be a nice commerce city.

are we going to be tempted to settle the PH instead of B if we see no threat from azza at that point and his borders haven't popped yet? hehe

It orphans a rivergrassland, which is why I was looking at X and Z.

Dunno. Maybe tempted, but I think it would be strategic mistake.

ok good call w/ x and y. both will be food poor though, especially y. hopefully some sea food we can't see yet.

Well its only a good call if those two tiles (the rivergrass and river plains) are worth it. I'm still debating it given that settling C,X and Y will leave X with only 2 tiles that it owns outright. Granted they are good tiles, but is it worth a filler city. C could work two seafood and a bunch of workshops though. Then X can take all the riverland for itself and we can stick more science modifier buildings there. That allows us to avoid building extra sci buildings in C and focus more on military. However we can only really do that after we've gotten to Workshops to make that viable in C.

I guess I still am leaning C,X,Y since as long as the city can pay for itself, it is profit.

Ugh.

Azza produced an Axe the same turn we did. We have not seen it yet. What does this mean?

It's very possible that axe was built in Azza's capital and it is currently 1W of his copper. If I'm right we will see the axe NE of the copper next turn (t50). Additionally he will have a settler in the fog, then move the axe and the settler onto the hill(t51). Settle there (t52). Our settler is scheduled to settle Site B t53 which will be 1 turn too late to invalidate that hill spot.

That is what I think will happen. Because when you're Azza you go out of your way to piss your opponent off with reach settlements that will only end in eternal war.

So what should we do if this occurs? Maybe Settle X, hook up horses, see if we can snipe his city with chariot while he only has axes. Maybe hold off on war, but at the very least settle X.

Actually looking at that power graph did Azza get 5k power or 4k? I think its 5k but it doesn't look like it mirrors perfectly.

Also note that Azza's city is working the unimproved grassland. Isn't he Joao???
