I like how this works. wink
Well, pork is now a Taur'i "thing":

Mardoc's Company is ghosting the annoying warrior; I'll either pop it, or won't...soon I'll see where the Scoopin horses are for how safe he'll be.

Popped a warrior, hardly satisfying.

Turn 50, behold, a turn of revelation! First of all, my little planned IC-TR city got bumped up quite a bit in the queue:

Secondly, I'll have to move south a bit earlier than expected; here's my hosses:

Cities:
Earth Gate is going to hit size 4, sink a turn into a settler, then whip the work boat, overflow, whip the settler...both heading east to the Chulak Chappa'i. A granary is then chopped, and gold ensures I can start growing onto nerfed normal non- Fin riverside cottages.

Abydos, meanwhile, will get a worker chopped out and keep growing, goal being whipping from 5-4 or 4-3 on the good mines and farms; once at size four it'll begin a setter for those horses.

Two cities only right now its pitiful; I want to be up to five within fifteen turns.

Oh, I see those Iraqis have delivered the stuff I ordered! Sorry for putting it up there Commodore, but shining ice shards need to be kept cold!
Yeah, I'm not happy about my past behaviour either. shakehead

Now with the numeracy:

t52 (now): 15/100 settler
t53: whip WB, work one of the FPH: 51/30 Work Boat
t54: 55/100 settler
t55: whip settler, work pigs/clam: 112/100 settler (gets rounded down to 7 overflow)
t56-58 build worker with chop help.
t57 Chulak Chappa'i settled, clams netted there.
Then lather, rinse, repeat with a granary whip->overflow to settler.

Here's the local locale. The fifth city in this 15-turn-plan will be from Abydos; Tollana Iris will be 1N of the horses and share wet corn plus not much else. The two other cities dotmapped here will be settled then within another fifteen turns; I think a reasonable goal is ten cities total by turn 100, so let's try eleven...

A Poem, To Pindicooter

I never hated you,
My dear enemies two,
And my rushing warrior,
I now utterly rue.

Alas we are too near,
To have simple peace here,
And among lurkers of yours,
A hating cancer sneers.

I would have a truce,
Because this way we lose,
But it's too late an hour...
And I've no way to choose...

I cannot trust your plan,
To leave me my own lands,
So I must be a bore...
And carefully watch your hands.

The empire is growing, something like ten turns later than it should, but no matter. Looks pretty, eh? One we settle this all it'll be even prettier. We'll have time to really get big honking swarms of impi up before someone colonizes us with rifles. Gogo team Zulu!

What, you were expecting commentary? Have you seen my sad little empire? Okay, well, I'll update on the world at large, although I'm just basing this off of post count and what I know of the players:
...
Commodore is me. See top post. He settled his second city on turn 52. He sucks at this game and should probably find a new cheap hobby.

...and PB8 (okay, t51 not t52)

Auspicious, non? See, I'm in about as screwed a position here as I was in 5, but if I could just be let alone I think I could have just as much fun, 5 was way way more fun than 8 to play. I got my little goal now; 11 cities by t100. I can make stories, hang out, fiddle around...I just wish there was a was to communicate my peaceful and nonthreatening "just leave me be" vibe to Pindicooter.

You are sad but you tried to kill the Viking team.

First we whip the work boat...

(Also vital? Workers! Third about to be chopped in Abydos; the city will make a fourth before making a settler).
