[SPOILERS] The Rise of Lewger: A BacoN of Bacon Revenge (bacOn bAcoNbAcon) Bacon

well if he produced the axe in his capital, that means he has had to use all his worker actions on a road from rose to the copper city - no time for luxuries like farms or cottages.

so we should see the axe/settler next turn if your paranoid theory is correct, right? hopefully we see nothing and continue w/ the B plan. if he settles the hill than I like X, in addition to the horses we'll get those flood plains improved quicker as well.

So I played the turn and Azza hasn't played so we're technically double moving him, though he double moved us last turn. I take that as a good sign because maybe it means Azza doesn't think we're going to war any time soon. In any case, this does mean we have to wait until he plays to see if there is an axe and settler coming. I'm starting to wonder maybe he's moving the axe towards that spot but he doesn't intend to settle it. God who knows with Azza.

Hello Barb warrior, welcome to the party.

Our Settler finishes this turn.

They look worse than before because we've whipped off so much population. Look at the pop demographic neenerneener. 18th in pop and yet 3rd in land area and average to above avg mfg+crop. This is because we only have 5 citizens, but 3 cities and each citizen is working a 6 yield (or better) tile. I can't wait to get a bit more vertical.

BTW someone has double our power... They must have like 7 more axes than us. Someone's getting eliminated...

Also no wonders have fallen.

No Whammy!

No axe in sight. If he is bringing a settler it will wait for the axe. We'll be able to beat Azza to settling as long as we stay in the first half of the turn.

Played T51. The settler got the coveted blue circle on Site X. So that is in the plans.

I'm about to build our roads.

The top worker just finished the chop into the barracks (2t). It will now put 1turn of road into the tile south(t52). The mining and cottaging workers will finish next turn(t52) and the 4th worker currently on the forest with the settler will road. T53 the first worker moves to the grassriver just north of the cap and roads. The cottaging worker to the north comes and finishes that road. The mining worker goes S to the corn and puts 1T into a road. The 4th worker finishes the road on the forest.

T54 one worker on the river grass moves to corn and finishes that road. The other uses the roads to move 1S of the capital and road. The worker on the corn moves there too and completes that road. 4th worker moves SW and puts 1t into the road.

T55 corn worker moves back to start cottage on river grass. The two workers 1S of the cap use the roads to move 1N of the pigs where the other worker has already put 1T of road. One finishes the road the other puts in a turn of cottaging. 4th worker moves onto the pigs and puts in a turn of pasture.

T56 all three workers hook the pigs, other worker is cottaging.

T57 the city gets hooked up. It has been building a warrior and will now upgrade that build to a spear which we will whip if we need to on t59.

I have the capital set to a granary. Should I be building an axe? Are we paranoid enough to want a second axe in case Azza feels site B is too close? The axe would take 12+8+8+8 = 6 turns, which would be T57 it would make it into the city t60 so basically the same turn that the spear would be whipped.

Meh we'll be fine.

In geopolitics and geography it appears suttree and yuirmack are next to each other and at war. I hope that mack is helping just enough that the two stalemate.

I don't think we want a second axe.

I was thinking last night how much I want to get the GLib. Is it feasible? Is it a better course than Currency>CoL? We don't have marble and probably won't. If we save our forests is possible? It costs 350H and we have 9 forests left in our capital's BFC. If we grab Math that is 270 hammers. We only need 80 more hammers. Our capital can produce 8hpt at size 3, with another mine it can produce 11hpt so between 8 and 10 turns. Now techwise, if we go Aesthetics>Lit we can build the required library while teching those, then start slowbuilding the Glib while we tech math (likely to take 10 turns itself) complete all the chops and get the GLib.

Why is this a possibly good idea? We are currently looking at going a peaceful expansion versus attacking Azza. Thus Bulbing machinery seems much less attractive. GLib provides beakers that are multiplied by the library, academy, and oxford. Also as PHI we're going to get a whole bunch of GS which is exactly what we want. We want a GS for the buearcap academy. We want 2 GS to bulb Edu for our cheap unis and oxford. We might want a GS for a GA or for bulbing PP too. GS is the most useful GP for us.

Why else might this be a good idea? We get early HE and NE availabilty.

WHy is this feasible? because our tech path has basically been a beeline to writing and now we have a choice of going towards aesthetics or confu.

The choice: If we go for Confu we may not get it, but we'd get caste. We also definitely would not get GLib. If we go towards Glib we might get screwed by someone beelining it with marble and we'd be behind on currency and CoL and a shot at confu.

We still have 3 turns to decide. As I write it out I can see that Currency>Col is the SAFER of the two paths. However I think GLib path is RISKIER with a higher reward.

I don't know. I suck with deciding to go for wonders and when to do it and the strength of my game is micro and expansion and tactics. I just think maybe we need to do something risky to have a shot at winning this game. Someone else is going to do something risky and they'll get a great advantage. Seven and Mack always beat me because they are better with wonders and Great people. It's the weakness in my game, so I really want to look at this closely.
