Buuuut they did hang 59 points yesterday so I can't complain today.
I remember that one, they lost to these guys. Any embarrasment sustained by Michigan that day was surpassed when the linked video made the rounds.

I can't watch that. Clicked on it, saw "Appalach-" and alt + F4'd before I saw anything else.
Michigan is actually playing them to open the season next year for some insane reason: http://mgoblog.com/content/rights-we-sho...play-there
Dumbest idea ever.

Oh really quick - in case you play before i can post the full Stonehenge plan, for this turn we should do:
Clyde - road
Terry - east to copper, road
Geoff - NE-NE to forest for chopping

Turn played according to plan. Our settler is en route!
I decided to keep our units in place for this turn. The worker was not safe to leave alone on the forest, because if there's a 2 move animal NW-NW or NW-N, we're in trouble. He can move back to RW safely next turn when the road is finished anyway. The archer just seems a little better to be defogging the maximum number of tiles. Here's our capital about to pop its borders EoT:
Also, should we be concerned that the game agrees with our city placement??
General statement about the occasional accuracy of broken clocks seems fitting.

Actually, I would be concerned that the game says that is the spot to settle the horses. It likely means there isn't any seafood to affect the algorithm.
As for the warrior / archer, I think we can keep the warrior in spot next turn as well. On t52 when Red Wings hits size 4 then the road also completes and the warrior is able to move back along the road tiles.
Edit: I'm also torn about offering peace to Commodore. Peace at the right time can give us a 10 turn window.... and we are planning on building Stonehenge within the next 10 turns. But I think staying at war will be better for us mentally - it will a constant reminder that we cannot ever assume a peaceful northern border. We have to always assume the worst with him, because he doesn't believe in maintaining good relations. Put another way, there is no prisoner's dilemma with Commodore. He'd rat the other guy out in a hearbeat.
The flip side of maintaining war is that it may make him focus even more on war. Right now I think his thinking is he's expanding and commiting some to harassing us just because. I fear if we keep war going then he will go more 'pb8' mode, where he commits it all towards military. So if we can maintain a war footing with in-game peace, that would be my preference.

Hey it's never too late to start the timer ticking for "peaceful relations" so you can get trade routes later. That'll happen, right?!

I don't know what to say about that Commodore paragraph.
Anyway the blue circle may indicate that there is seafood within range of that spot.

I may not have worded it the best, but basically I want us to approach him like we're always at war, but am concerned that denying peace if he offered it would make him up his aggression level. But whether or not we are at peace in-game, I think you are right that we need to approach Commodore with an always-war mentality.
