WW27 Game Thread: Once there were 12

You call and I answer Azarius - I did this one up in notepad last night. I had a feeling there might be a need for it early.

I don't know if it will make a difference at this stage, but I can address one aspect of my play that was pretty schizophrenic. I turned on Azarius so savagely at the start of the day because i had tracked him to Novice during the night. Given scum seemed to have been blocked, and Novice seemed an obviosu target for scum, that implied that either Azarius was a jailer or a failed assassin. Given the general scumminess I thought his play showed today (as I said), I thought it much more likely that he was a wolf.

If you are set on lynching me, I would at least recommend waiting one more day. Chances are that the scum will do your job for you anyway, and if they don't and you mislynch me tomorrow, I will be able to give you another reading.

As far as I can see, Jowy never answered the questions that were put to him about contradictions in his posts. If you are town, Jowy, your refusal to engage with questions helped derail my scum-hunting for two days in a row.

Finally, if I am actually about to die, I would like to remind people not to ignore the possibility that Novice himself is, in fact, the wolf who was blocked last night. He's played a fantastic game if so, but it's certainly possible.

I'm not certain on Azza anymore. I would probably prefer Jowy, but if I can survive by voting Azza I will.

Sorry man if you are villager you got unlucky trying to save scum last two days..

Sorry Gaz I don't buy it. Waiting to the 11th hour for a claim just seems too suspicious. It's possible you AREN'T lying about the power role, and are a wolf tracker.

Day end.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

May your smile of sympathy be frozen on your face when they find wolfy hair on your pillow Jowy!

Why would a failed assassin be seen visiting me?
