[SPOILERS] The Rise of Lewger: A BacoN of Bacon Revenge (bacOn bAcoNbAcon) Bacon

To add to the above, we need myst>poly to get Lit for Glib so that might push it a little further away and if we went after it push currency and CoL even further away.

Good news from earlier in the turn, Azza settled and I can't see the city so it's either horses or FPs. Also his worker is cottaging the grassland tile uncovered. We have definitely lulled Azza into a sense of security...

I don't have a firm grasp of the micro, so I'll defer to you. Intuitively, it seems to me founding a religion is killer - so much so a beeline to divine right will be worthwhile to someone, and w/ the gems and some cottages heading there before Judaism has even fallen should give us a good shot. But Im certain its better than GLIB beeline either, which would be very strong as well.

we found bacon #4 in 2 turns, I think(bacon!, I think?). azza founded city #3, but its thankfully in the opposite direction (we guess, its not visible anyway so the western copper/horses makes sense), so rejoice, there may be long peace smile. pindicator and jester are both at 2 cities still.

for this rapid horizontal growth we've had to sacrifice vertical growth:

lucky we have granary's building as we speak and plenty of food to catch up here.

I'm going to guess that the #3 civ (the only size 4) it Bacchus, who has founded a religion and is also the only creative civ. (only explanation i have for a size 4 beating out two size 5's this early in the game)

Jowy built Oracle. I'm not afraid. He's terrible.

The situation in the south:

Azza's power jumped. I can't tell if it is an axe or a tech because I know he recently teched something. Either way, while it is something to keep an eye on, I don't see Azza storming our desert city with two axes, especially since he knows we have axes too.

Gems bacon grows this turn, Cap and copper grow next turn. I'm going to start a worker in gems at size 3 then whip it near its completion so I can get enough overflow to finish the Granary.

Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

After the Oracle debacle there were tons of posts in everyone thread. I wonder if everyone was going for the Oracle? neenerneener

First up, Site B has been planted:

What do you think guys? Now that I see it with it's culture it looks a bit aggressive. lol At the same time though it claims mostly only desert and it's borders touch our capital's borders. I hope Azza realizes that this was the less aggressive option. There's not much one can do when capitals are only 9 tiles apart.

Otherwise I think its good. I'm pleased with where we are. Gems bacon is building a worker now and will whip when its at 50H. that means 6T slowbuild and then whip for a 7t worker and enough overflow to finish the granary. It will be working the cottage for 4 of those 6 turns.

Barracks completed in copper city and I started working the sugar this turn so that we grow this turn instead of in 3t. We will build an axe there first and then build a WB. The Axe will take 5T including this one and the WB will take 5T so the WB wil be just in time to net the fish.

Do you see what I see?:

Or an awesome 7 dye city?

If azza doesn't take it well, he wouldn't have taken anything well. How soon can we get some culture in there (library maybe?)?

For the last 15-20 turns Azza has spent on average 5 minutes in the game per turn.

Today he logged in 3 times and on the third time spent 46 minutes in the game... I've already got a plan for an axe built in 4t and a spear whipped in the new city t59. I hope that is enough. If worst comes to worst I'll have a warrior in the city and upgrade it I suppose.
