OK, any input on the questions I raised regarding the actual turn?

Starving specialist does not enter the GPP pool; however, if you are going to starve anyway you can strip out all tile-workers and assign them all as specialists, and only one citizen/turn will starve.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Will it kill the citizen specialists first or the proper specialists? We are using all specialists slots now already.

Ok, in my test it will first starve the citizen specialist and then the proper specialist.
So we are good to draft and whip a bit, as long as we have all our specialist slots full plus one citizen specialist assigned end of next turn.
And in any case it seems that starving specialists do enter into the GPP pool before being killed. But that might be just for single player. So best not take any chances.

Turn played.
The Stone-wall whip thing did not work as intended. Not sure whether its a bug or what.
To whip out a wall from scratch with +150% modifier (stone, forge, religion) it still killed two pop points, when one should have sufficed. After whipping the wall now show up as 100/50 hammers in the production bar. Weird. And resulted in some last minute research builds.
We barely made it to Rifling.
Whipped 5 muskets this turn in cities were the whip overflow should reach 110hammers needed for the Rifle.
So 5 Rifles plus the draftees from T175.

Fingers crossed Starfall holds.

Nice work on the rifles MH. Yes the GP points get processed before the food, so you will make the number of GP points it tells you in the hover-over this turn.
