One f my friends has expressed interest in joining the forum and diving into MP for the first time. If you have any friends like that i would encourage them to join! If we can keep the average skill level quite low then we can make this a great way for people to dip theor toe into Civ MP and Realms Beyond.

The pick system fintourist Mentioned for leader/civ selection is nice.

Just a note, that was for a game on a toroid, watery map. Valuations may change depending on how you want the map to set up.

Perhaps you can review the point values as part of the map process?

A simple system I came up with that may or may not be balanced is: No Fin but Wang Kon (Fin/Pro), all others but Sury (Cre/Exp) - simply removes all the "first-tier" leaders.

Only problem I could potentially see is Vikings and Dutch, if we just group them with the other civ's then I don't see a problem.

EDIT: I guess we might have to move down Organized, if we don't have Torrid Warp.

Vikings and Dutch are only high tier on water maps.

I like Hydra's system too. It's great to get so much input from everyone

I mean, I find Hydra's system interesting, but if we really want to ban out the high tier leaders y not just ban them in the first place? I honestly really like the point based scoring, with a little bit of modification.

Re PBEM45 points: Especially the values of ORG and CRE need to be revised based on map settings.
