My comment is completely in jest. Enjoy your trip and don't give this game a second thought.

Turn played at 106 speedy hours. I had some unfortunate work-releated circumstances to deal with when returning home, sorry for the extra ~36 hours.

Any chance you will get to this today, Ichabod?
If you know what I mean.

Yup, playing today.

Cool. While our pace isn't technically glacial, it has been hovering around the "HAL 9000 dying" mark on the uber chill scale. It would be nice if we could accelerate towards the "Amish drag race" end of the spectrum.

lol My wife watches Amish Mafia quite a bit, I've seen an Amish drag race. Protip: don't lose the race or the winner may own your buggy.

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

Why are the Amish GPS systems so unreliable?

Because of the buggy code.

I keep intending to finish my turn and send the save and things keep coming up. I've had the save open for a couple of days now and never do get around to playing the turn. I've pretty much come to the point that this game is more obligation than recreation, and it's been that way for quite some time, even when I've been in a good position.

I have discreetly asked (in my thread) for a replacement, but none are to be found, so I'm putting it up here in a more public place, and I'll put one in the general forum as well, so that hopefully someone will take me up on my offer. Failing that, I'll grit my teeth through the turns as best I can, but I see little hope that my play won't suffer because I just don't enjoy playing the turns at this point, and truth be told, haven't for some time already. A combination of game settings, pace, and my own hectic life are to blame. I've really enjoyed my opponents and being challenged at every turn. I'm at 65 hours now and counting and feel badly about it. My humblest apologies to all of you still sending the saves around at a (much) more rapid clip.

We don't have to play on at all costs, I'm fine with calling it. The turns are mostly fun but also an obligation.
I have to run.
