I guess it was autorazed, since Krill's score didn't temporarily increase.

Turns are really flying in this game.

I've found my first barb warrior, and I found Thoth to the northeast of Krill.

My warrior killed the barb warrior flawlessly on defense and is now headed to pillage the winery up there, since it doesn't give any yield but is worth 10g on average when pillaging, according to the civilopedia. I have a winery to my northwest as well, but my warriors are a bit stretched at the moment, I have three cities and three warriors.

Crossing my fingers for Polytheism, settling my third city this turn was just enough to bump the ETA down to 2 turns.

Woot!

Well, that didn't take long. I think it was for the best that I didn't go for the pigs city.

Although if Krill settles on the forested plains hill, that would be... bad.

By the way, I haven't moved my warrior on the hill this turn, would it be wrong to e.g. move it SW now that Krill has played, to pillage that cottage? I'm not going to do anything but it's unclear to me what the etiquette is.

I see no rules-problem with you pillaging a tile outside anyone's culture.

Well it was more about me moving units after having ended turn.

It looks like Zak may get a city on that hill he's lusting for.

My security situation will be great, too - I don't see any issues with giving an aggressive Krill a huge salient into my core.

I'll just blame my eventual loss on this map's randomness. Juicy improvements and a barb city near Krill's capital. (Also rivers galore, wet rice, gems.) No wonder he could get out an early settler (with 60% hammer bonus from IMP).

My culture graph is steeper than Krill's though, so I guess he didn't found Buddhism? So he built a barracks?

Of course that pasture I highlighted in the last post must be on top of horses to give those yields...

Fingers crossed for Stonehenge this turn. Then it's definitely time to road the copper.

I would also research Archery (unless you have it already). They make cheap garrisons that are pretty effective when defending against typical units of this era. You should also consider how to establish border towards Krill. His city is mighty annoying you don't have good spots to choose from. I would settle conservatively approach and settle 1SW of silver next and try to win 2nd ring culture battle from there. Alternatively you could also build up military to take that city out.
