[SPOILERS] Dhal gets ready to bungle another game (oh yeah some guy is dedlurking)

It wouldn't be an early city, but it could be a fifth or sixth. The land towards TBS doesn't look that great apart from that one northern location with the sheep and the fish.

Nope, Azza has been sitting on the save for 40+ hours now. It's not unusual for him, but it is annoying that he can find the time to play PB13 and his other PBs but not this one, especially given how short a time it takes to play these turns.

The PBEM/Pitboss situation at Realms Beyond right now reminds me of the succession game scene at CivFanatics in about 2002 at the height of Civ3 popularity. Way too many people overcommitting and signing up for too many games at once, then having to drop out or find replacements. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to tell people not to sign up for games if that's what they want, but I think the poor track record of recent PBEMs is largely due to so many people trying to play 3 or 4 or 5 games at once. (A single game already eats up too much of my time, I have no idea how some are able to pull off multiple ones!)

Yes, I confess I had no idea what I was getting into playing 2 PB games at once while committing myself to also writing turn reports and at times in my life where I had more commitments than now I wouldn't have been able to handle it. I don't have anything against players who want to play in a few games but stay only loosely involved without reporting, but I think I'd find that much less rewarding than being more engaged in only 1 or 2 big games.

the spot 1N of the western pigs now looks very attractive - first ring pigs, second ring corn and copper, several grass hills and tons of grassland. good hybrid city.

I'm not sure where our best copper is though. The one closest to the north could be a nice city on the river, but it will only have one dry corn until civil service.

The ones in the west and south are more aggressive, but the western one as discussed above has pigs and corn, and the southern one has fish, rice, and plains cow.

With horses we might be able to afford a 2nd ring copper. In that case also remember the northern city also has sheep and fish in its 2nd ring... let me go look at the map sometime in the next day or so and see what kind of 1st ring copper cities we can swing.
