Hey Gaspar, is PBEM47 (they one you want to pretend didn't exist) not also a good showcase that Seven and mackoti both are beatable? Or at least can be kept up with
Nothing like the Prodigal Sons: The Odd Couple actually play as themselves.

47 was a very impressive performance and you did an awesome job showing off IMP. I'd say you did more than keep up with them in that one.

Or at least can be kept up with Its hard to say, since it didn't actually happen. Yeah, its a fair point, and you obviously had the catbird seat if it had continued. I'll get to this when I do the prediction post, but I think that the inherent randomness in a larger game means that anyone is very beatable in the environment. There's no pregame legislating for things like landing next to the grudge monster, etc etc. You're a better candidate to beat them, anyway. While I way say that we are roughly on the same level as players (meaning Noble and I together, you're definitely better than me alone) you are an extremely high-variance player. Capable of absolute brilliance few can attain (the 47 start, the FFH game) and also capable of settling the capital you settled in PB12. I don't know that Noble and I have ever hit the heights you've hit at your best. Its something for us to strive for, however.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
Forgive Boldly, he's a management type. It's second nature by now to describe work done by others as his own.
Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon
I also a management type, but in my line of work that mostly means bemoaning not going to college for something more useful, like Engineering.

You know, for the lurkers. And this is so time intensive that you don't have time to play Civ at work, right?
