Black Sword, are you interested in swapping our sets around? I've got family in town, and I'm going to be away from a civ capable computer for the next 3 days. I'd rather not hold the game up though...
So, this was the scene that greeted me when I opened my first save. Yes, there's a non-trivial chance that this game will soon become a duel between 2 teams of 6 people!
Yeah, thinking about it, I'd prefer to switch the order, rather than wait 37t for the next set if that's ok?
So, new order would be Sareln -> TBS -> Selrahc -> Bob.
So, here's an Overview of my 10 turn period. We've been clipping along at 2 saves a day btw, first time I've experienced that, it's great .
I got the save and we had researched Agri, and had already started Mining. Our traits had also changed to Philo/Exp(Great!)/Arcane.
I think going warrior first and straight to Mysticism and God King may have been a better idea tbh, given the lack of really good tiles to improve. I didn't bother checking though, because the decision had already been made, we already had the worker out so I decided to continue to Mining so he'd still have stuff to do.
You can see in the event log that I got the Duke event. Monument isn't great, so 25g vs 20t happiness. I went ahead and took the happiness. I reckon we'll get about 10t extra at size 6 before the gold comes online and makes that sustainable. Of course, being Expansive, maybe growing to size 6 isn't the best strategy but there are no really amazing second city sites available either, so I'm happy with it. Someone else will have the task of picking city 2, I'd probably just go south along the river, sharing a FP and the gold and picking up another.
Other than that, the worker farms and we grow:
Our warrior got a promo from surviving the first Lizard, I just promoted him to C1 now to help with the second.
We already had a pretty wide view of our surrounding area, so I decided to send our scout south and see if I could find anyone else. It'd be good to know how far and fast we need to settle and hopefully pick up some pre-req bonuses as well.
He's been dodging lizardmen the whole time, ending turn next to those ruins once and forcing me to spend his xp.

The fun thing about the setup is that I feel no compulsion to do C+D or a micro plan, no point when I can't communicate it to the next 30t.
