I dunno, but it's something I always watch out for when unzipping things. It seems like there are kind of two valid ways to do both the zipping and unzipping, and if the zipper zags and the unzipper zigs, you either get a giant mess of files dumped somewhere they aren't supposed to be or you get two nested folders. I feel like it's something I've run into more in the past, but still every now and then.

The best way to avoid that situation is to always drag folders directly out of the archive and drop them right where you want them, rather than unzipping to a target directory, because sometimes archives and archival programs like to create extra nested folders.

I'll remember that for the future. I just assumed it was supposed to be like that.... Well, upshot is that we can use the mod if that's what gets voted up. I'm still gonna check it out regardless. Sorry for hijacking the thread with my silly tech problems.

Glad it's now working for you Whosit
Let's get voting underway now? We need to decide on settings before looking for a mapmaker I believe
RBMod or BTS?
Barbarians
Starting units: Normal or Everyone starts with a scout
Huts
Random Events
Espionage: Fully on, or No spy units, or No espionage
Corporations
Vassals
Difficulty
Votes on some of the settings (Espionage and Huts are the ones I'm mostly thinking about) can be influenced by whether we use the mod or not, so maybe decide on that first?

One more point to vote on. An important one. Map - mirrored, non-mirrored, random, non-random, any preferences

I'd vote for the Mod.
Barbarians - On
Starting Unit - Mod starts with scout
Huts - on
Events - Off
Espionage - On if Mod, typical bans if BtS
Corps - On
Vassals - Off
Difficulty - Prince+ (on the assumption it helps out organized traits, I don't know)
Diplo: AI (possibly include option to ask for things like "declare war on" or "stop trading with")
Map: Non-mirrored. Random with balance tweaks (such as: No one starts with unplayable starts, like being choked by jungle, on a tiny island or peninsula, etc.). Some amount of seas for possible naval action.
