Great! I was looking for you at gtalk since few weeks already about the revanche you owe me smile

Anyone else want a duel? My current one goes so slowly...

I'm also interested in another duel, if anyone wants one. I don't think I'm ready for Sevenspirits by any means, but if no-one else is interested and you're up for some noob-bashing, then I'm fine with that.

Qs, I'll duel you as long as you're cool with it. Feel free to wait around a bit for another taker if you prefer.

I can duel you, Seven, if you don't mind these two things:

1. Slow turn pace during weekends.
2. Making a break from December 28th to January 2nd, if we go that far.

Would be fine, but I'm sure you'd rather take Stupendous Man smile

Hm, well I guess it makes some more sense for me to duel Ichabod, since Qs seemed interested in dueling anyone, in fact maybe more interested in dueling someone other than me, while Ichabod only specifically replied to me. Certainly, if someone else comes along to duel Qs, this seems like the best solution. (Btw, I'm only looking to start one more duel right now.)

On the other hand, I have an open offer to Qs for a duel and I won't just withdraw it, since that would leave Qs partnerless under the current situation which I feel would be unfair. So Qs, please say if you have a preference. (Or I guess you could say nothing and I'll decide because I'm excited to start a game!)

Honestly, I'm quite eager for a duel right now, so if you don't mind either way then I'd go for it in an instant.

Quote:* PBEM format.
* Mirrorland map with "Critical resources close" setting and no pre-placed improvements. Other than that default.
* Map size (i.e. the number affecting maintenance and tech costs, not actual dimensions) tiny or maybe small. (I believe "larger" settings than default, as well as less variation in settings based on player count than default, i.e. closer to average, is best for the map "size" setting.)
* Prince difficulty.
* Quick speed.
* Options: no barbarians, unrestricted leaders, always war, no vassal states, no tribal villages, no random events.
* Leaders/civs chosen by us in some manner that's not random - got a preference?

House rules:
* No war elephants.
* Spies can't perform missions.
* "Wimpy units can't take the first aggressive action of the game."

This, with the following proposed revisions:
* No spies - I like the visibility issue that comes in AW. For this reason I also like the "No Planes" concept that 2metraninja linked to, but I don't mind much.
* I like the improvements function to encourage scouting, what are your reasons for eliminating this?
* I have a small preference for mirrored leaders/civs, other then that I don't mind what we choose.
