Yeah. Still both these games are kinda fun for me right now which is nice. I don't have expectations of winning, but having fun.

Serdoa is waiting for others to play. I can't tell if it is me or someone else. He's not at war so he must be preparing to declare.

Sure I'll update:

I'm not to worried about Serdoa since I have all those units in that city now, but he did build a road on the corner to the city. If he has a cat and elephant stack he could drop it next to the city and be mean. The other cities are less accessible. My newest one in the West is a bit exposed to Serdoa and Commodore, but I've got 7 units in range and I already have walls there. I'm working on getting construction for cats and elephants.

I'm nervous about commodore stealing the tile and getting a culture push up there. Thoth's city is a bit away from his core and is ripe for me to take once I have cats and elephants. I do have OB with both Thoth and commodore though. I don't really want to war with Thoth, but he's the softest target with least risk.

Yeah, yeah, novice killed my city on the border there. I'm fine with it though. That means I can leave this side veyr lightly defended. There's a natural border between pindi and me and novice and me. That means its unlikely that they will attack me and I can focus troops toward the Serdoa, comm and thoth, fronts.

We will be building elephants so best get those stables up. Most of the infrastructure is done for now. Libraries and courthouses everywhere. And surprisingly walls too. Nice to have those cheap.

Power is climbing.

This clearly looks like crap, but we aren't actually doing too badly given our less than focused start. In terms of cities we are about even with novice and Krill behind thoth. Comm, serdoa and pindi are all behind the four of us. I think tensions are higher between the guys ahead of me and if it leads to war I might be in better shape than this looks. I need monarchy in order to get wines for happy. Happy cap is really killing me. But I need construction before that or I might die. Need cats on the Serdoa front.

All in all though, doing pretty well.

Krill is just rolling over Pindicator, so I captured a pindicator city. I don't think I will be able to reach a second one though.

I'm hoping Pindi doesn't snipe my Sentry HA. Krill and Novice have maces so I need to hold my ground at Blah.

I tripped a Golden age and revolted into confu+beaur+OR+HR+caste. Will try to get to machinery by the end of the GA and get 1 and a half GPs with two cities starving.

Serdoa has been middling all game with the largest army. He has been at war with pindi and commodore which has stunted his growth.

SWEEP THE LEG!

I wardecced this turn.

If you follow civstats you may notice that I razed one of his cities. It was a very near thing. I had 7 units on his south border. 3 HA and 4 chariots. He had an CG1 archer in the city with walls last turn, but this turn also had a C1 WE. Faced with that I almost back down. But then my baby was crying and I didn't have time to sit and stew so I went ahead and Leeroyed it. The result:

I won both those final battles at about 63% and 65%. Each of the first battles took his units' health down about 1 power each time, but they were at like 9% odds at best.

I razed the city because I couldn't hold it. I'm better off killing it so that I slow his military production and give him less pop to whip.

The real battle is here:

This one I plan to keep, and then move on his capital with a second army I'm putting together on the west side of the lake. I have no idea where Serdoa's army is. I think its all fighting commodore. I hope Comm doesn't accept Serdoa's peace treaty, which from the tech thread looks to be what was blocking Comm from unpausing the game. Hopefully Comm sees that I've joined the war before accepting peace.
