I spy some terrain changes, but not from Gavagai. I spy a horrible edited river which added 2 flood plains to Gav's natural land. [23]

Found some jungled bananas. I think the other lion was removed from the map to make way for real barbarians. Started roading the desert...

t36 (and start of t37)

Not sure what Goreripper is trying to imply with that screenshot, since if we don't care about the leisurely pace we're less likely to play sooner. lol

Things that we need to agree on:

1) Scout move for the next turn, 2NW?
2) Worker next after the settler?
3) Work the two flood plains (one cottaged) instead of two forests for the EXP bonus? I think we swap to the forests after the second city takes the cottage, but stay on the FPs for now.

t37 - SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO GASPAR

I know, shocking title. But alas...

Yep, those lions were never removed. So yeah. On the plus side, we now know for sure that Gavagai did not settle south, or we'd have seen some sort of borders at the edge of the fog between our scout and our settling party. So that's good I guess.

The worker was started, working the FPs.

Our very mediocre start is now showing in the demos.

You never know, you may use up all your good dice rolls for the whole game next turn. That'd be great, right?!

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

Man these turns are really going to be boring now.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

could be worse, could have had three animals pop up next to the warrior/settler pair! that would have been long odds as well.

also, merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate and lurk here. Your present from me is that I'll be back to my usual self in a few days.

t38 - Warren G possibly regulating?

We lost Irina. We all gonna die

Amusingly to the first lion at bad odds. So it goes.

We settled our second city, Plame Affair. Settling revealed an injured Gavagai warrior on the PHF north of the Pigs. I suspect this means he intends to plant there, which will leave Lewwyn with a nice "I told you so" opportunity. This also means we need to cover the worker who is pasturing the Sheep. This photo was taken before those things, of course.

Here's the full empire :cough: at end turn:

And current depressing demos:
