Chop's going to Ethylene. This turn, in fact, the same turn we founded it. It'll be an awesome city once we get that first 60h of workboats and granary in place.

Also, the Oracle was built. From the score changes - looks like Bob got it. Seems also awfully early - which is good! Much rather see it built with expensive hammers!

Getting a lot more food next turn!

Which is good, because my demos suck:

And I'm probably insane to be considering this, but I almost want to try for the GLH. Probably insane, building that instead of cities when I'm already behind is a recipe for someone else profiting from it. But dang, it's shiny-looking!

Ok, so if it seems insane, it probably is insane. And I really should be using my coastal city hammers for things like 'giving my new coastal cities instant workboats', not big towers with lights on them. Or else 'galley and a settler for an island' - that'd be worth half as much as a GLH in pure commerce terms, and of course much better for any other terms.

This turn, nothing much to mention. Got crabs in Ethane, so I won't be whipping it to size 1 anymore; should at least keep the rice and crabs worked at all times, barring emergency. In retrospect, I probably should have waited on the whip until I could work the crabs immediately.

Dang it, I forgot I needed MP for happy at size 3 banghead I think that's my cue to take the rice back to Methane, Ethane clearly needs to slow down a bit on its growth rate so I can get the happy situation back under control. Guess my first vulture will be MP rather than scouting.

Which actually works out pretty well for Methane, next turn we grow to size 6 with an empty build queue, can stick a settler in and get Propane established quite soon.

Meanwhile Ethylene here is starting to grow, with its first workboat in operation. Planning to whip the granary as soon as I can, then probably slow build/overflow the workboat while growing. Would be silly to get the workboat out before Ethylene can stay at size 2+, wouldn't it?

On a better note for happiness: Judaism in at EOT. Arrived exactly where I wanted it, in Ethane - and immediately spread itself to Methane too?!? I didn't know that was even possible on the founding turn, but I'll take it jive

I think I'll revolt next turn - delays the settler, but gets Ethane happy again, which probably makes up for it.

Also, although I'm sinking a couple hammers into a workboat in Ethane, I will let it grow once then whip out a worker. Two is probably a bit light, now that I have culture and such. Want to get the gold and horses hooked ASAP, a road down to Ethylene, Propane will need a little assistance too....and this is before I start planning for city 5, even.

Looks good!
Should Ethane be working the lake tile over a shared cottage, especially when it's at the happy cap?

I think so, yeah. Happy cap is about to climb (three times: garrison, religion, gold), and I can always whip away more pop too. If I can't figure out how to use all my food, it's sad, but I shouldn't give it up preemptively.

2 turns today!

Revolted to Judaism, so nothing to show off in-turn. With a holy city of my own, and cities at the top of a whip cycle, though, my demos don't look so bad...for the moment

Course those'll be suppressed again shortly as we get our next settler and worker produced. But maybe I'm not as far behind as I thought. Still gotta keep pushing for more REX, of course.

Had a turn this morning as I was rushing out the door. Whipped the settler in Methane, the granary in Ethylene, and started a worker in Ethane to whip next turn (overflow ought to finishe the workboat, too!). I'm sure this suppressed our demos quite a bit wink.

But it's worth it to get a worker and settler and workboat nod

Nothing in the log for foreign affairs.

For the civ as a whole, we finished Priesthood this turn, although in retrospect I probably should have waited since I don't plan to do anything with the tech just yet. Still, we have Ziggurats available now for 30 hammers, in case I manage to accelerate expansion enough that we want them. Next up is Writing, which I don't have a lot of plans for either smile. I think I'll head straight for Currency, at least barring any new information. Get all the passive benefits I can while we grow to the point of wanting things we have to build again.

I guess eventually I'll want to slip in Zigs and libraries as our 'while regrowing' item, but for the moment we need military.

Nothing much to report this turn. Mostly just regrowing the whipped pop:

Definitely straight for currency. We should probably focus on getting 2-3 more cities out quickly, as it looks like we've got the worker labour for it and we're lagging a bit expansion-wise.
