We already have the academy up already. I haven't done as much whipping lately as I want to develop and the capital I wanted to grow vertically a lot and work the juicy cottages. Might want to have capital take back deers to grow up really quickly. I don't mind working with him too much mainly because OB will give us acess to trade routes now and that is hurting our commerce.

Oh sorry, I thought that was why you wanted the library in the corn/horse city. Regardless, it's still an enormous investment for something that will take far too long to pay dividends. I honestly think a settled great prophet would likely be of greater benefit.
I made an executive decision not to sign open borders with him because of his position. If you feel strongly on this, tell me and I'll offer. You should probably set a password in case someone opens this by accident.

That's fine that u didn't sign OB with Dtay. Hopefully we can get trade routes with dhal also we might want to get out a gallery so we can explore the inner seas. And hopefully get a jumpstart to settling them once the land on the mainland disappears. We can also get the MC whip out a forge to run a engineering specialist to get an engineer to rush a wonder. Ofc after we get currency.

Turn 56:War?

I settled the pig city:

Unfortunately, Dtay's very provocative settlement means that we had no good choices to settle in this region, as the only hill available is the pigs. I chose not to move the workers onto the pigs as we don't have any way of defending them. Until we can advance units up they will chop the surrounding foliage, probably into a library as we will need to get some culture in here before Dtay can overwhelm us. I checked and I don't think he has any in there yet, but I doubt it will be long in coming.
The more immediate concern is losing the city, which if he has workers and chariots out of vision he may be able to do next turn. I doubt it however, as if he knew we were coming he probably wouldn't have exposed the chariot. More likely he saw our axe and chopped out the archer/positioned the chariot to kill as a result. Regardless, the city is very exposed so needs military quickly.

The capital is keeping the deer for now, as it should allow for a very quick growth to size 6. I set it on a spear as we desperately need military in the south, which we may need to whip soon. If no escalation of hostilities occurs, then my instinct is to whip out a settler at size 6 for the plains hill to the west of the capital, where I think we need a city to secure that border.

I've left it on the library for now, but I really don't think it's necessary given how little commerce passes through the city, at least for now. I would prefer to set a spear to bring south.

Whip out the granary next turn. Unchopped as we needed to divert worker labor to the west, and likely to remain so for a while.

One of the workers will probably join the other on the gold as we want it hooked ASAP, the other will continue chopping.

Scout continues scouting. Someone should put a GPP farm around here.

Unpictured, the warrior continues to run from Dtay's chariots, likely needs deleting soon. This is another thing that worries me, as he seems to be treating it as enemies, so I doubt he responds well to the new city.

I've finished researching maths, with the presumption of currency next. I think, however, that we want to follow with horseback riding and archery, depending on what happens to our south. I reiterate again that I think the shrine plan is a bad idea, and the MC plan needs to be very carefully considered in terms of timetable and aims.
If no escalation of hostilities occurs, then my instinct is to whip out a settler out of the capital for the plains hill to the west of it, where I think we need a city to secure that border, as well as getting a foothold in that area.

Anyway, just my thoughts smile Have fun!

Yah, the shrine probably won't be too useful right now given the costs to create one. Main reason I want a engineer right now is to rush either mids or MoM. Azza pretty much has a monopoly on the wonders right now thanks to being industrious, we can't just let Azza get these wonders for free. I'm probably going to move down the spear from Zed and have it build a replacement spear for itself. Ezreal is just building a library since it has nothing else to build currently and I would prefer not to build military until we have access to keshiks since axemen will obselete quicker than keshiks.

Not so good looking except for MFG. The economy is currently crashed so I'm waiting on Currency before planting anymore cities.

Also Azza is probably not the frontrunner right now since he is dead last in food currently, although he is ahead of us since he managed to grab so many wonders.

War next turn is going to happen. That Axe is just outside of range of the city. The workers should have been moved at that forest tile earlier so it could have been roaded and a 3rd axemen could have been there. Anyways the cap had it's spear whipped to completetion and Singed has also started on a spearman to be whipped next turn.

Also I changed one of the city sites this as Urgot was 1NW, now it is in it's current position so that it can apply cultural pressure to Xian.

One more thing if we chopped all the forests in Zed we can complete the Pyramids in 14 turns. I'm going for it after a completion of a gallery there to explore the inner seas.

Thankfully he did not take out the new city with chariots which I renamed Karthus.

Demo's are not that good.

I really need more workers as a couple of my cities are currently working on unimproved tiles. I'm also planning on chopping out the Pyramids at Zed unless Qpq thinks that there will be another wonder I should try and target for.

I want more cities in this area, except that I don't know where I can find a half decent city spot to place that will be safe against Dtay. Probably should explore the area some more.

Next turn Currency I'm going to burn through all my cash for Currency, with it incoming in 4 turns. Hopefully I can get out another round of expansion into the islands and claim it as mine. Demo's are not extremely appealing.

I have two workers up here trying to chop out the mids. I should be able to grab it for myself. And I have a GS coming out of Ezreal in 12 turns which is about when it should complete so I can start a GA and revolt into OR, Rep, and Jud. I might run an egineer specialist here as well once the rice comes under my control so that I can get out an egineer here to rush another wonder of my choosing. Most likely going to be Taj by that time.

I'm going to get Currency next turn so this will greatly spike my GNP so that's nice.

[Image: Civ4BeyondSword2014-01-1919-00-40-354_zpsfe2f0bbf.jpg]

I'm hoping that I am the first person to explore these islands so I can claim most of them for myself. Though I need to finish expanding on the mainland first before any settlers are shipped into these lands. More settlers are inc. Ezreal is going to have the next settler whipped out before I start up my Golden Age, where I hope to do little to no whipping of stuff.
