I'm good with whatever you all decide.
RBP11 IT and Tech Issues Thread

I'm beyond tired of playing this game and am somehow unable to do the rational thing and play quick turns and log out. I can play on as long as you guys are having fun, but I didn't get the impression people were still enjoying the game from the way the clock was ticking down so much. I didn't see great enthusiasm among people with a chance to win to play in a timely manner, and equated that with fatigue for this game. If that was the wrong impression, okay, play on. But if you guys get to a point where you think this game is settled please post in your threads when you're ready to end it. A global lurker can probably let us know when there is a collective decision to call the game. Our you can pm Brick, he doesn't help Byzantium anyway.

Ok, it seems like we have more than enough desire to keep playing. Sorry if this seemed like diplo but I was fearing that literally everyone else was only playing on out of obligation. I'll try not to miss the turn timer again, and agree we should definitely go back to 1 turn per day once we hear from Sutt.

If continuing to play is unduly burdensome or is making others unhappy, to which bob's comment alludes, that's another issue. As a relative outsider, I do just want to say that you don't need to be ready to concede to say you've had enough of the game. If those with a chance to win are still having fun then go for it, but if not then just call a draw and enjoy the next game. mackoti Wrote:SO GAVAGAI WINNED ALOT BUT HE DIDNT HAD ANY PROBLEM?
This is obligation, pure and simple. Xenu and I have refrained from King Making for quite a while now, and will continue to do so until this sorry, rotting carcass of a game is over unless, you know, something happens, not diplo, etc, etc. I'd be willing to pay some small amount of money to have our civ Atlantis-ed if others wanted to continue. But, thankfully Xenu is putting in the time each day to play, not me, so listen to him.
Oh I'm totally playing out of obligation. You guys all know what I'm up to and that it totally won't work, so we certainly don't have to keep going on my account, I'm willing to call it whenever you guys stop having fun. But as BGN said, we (Byzantium) are trying to not screw with anyone else's chances of winning by totally mailing in our turns, since our crappy little empire would probably be worth something in the possession of our betters and that ought to be prevented if at all possible (the main reason why retiring to AI would be bad for the game and isn't an option). Obviously if I played 5 minute turns we could go ahead and eliminate Wetbandit as a competitor and that wouldn't be fair to him at all. Or if we decided to have a war for the fun of it that would probably be picking a winner, too. So I'll keep playing and reporting and hopefully you guys playing will keep having fun and anyone still reading our thread will continue contributing to our POST COUNT DOMINATION VICTORY!!!!
