[LURKERS] Sweet 16: Civ Party Fun Time and Philosophical Debate

This is the answer to both questions.

I was disappointed that the dick ratio died down a bit, but Goreripper came to the rescue, so PB7 meltdown can't be far away... popcorn Ichabod has his hands full keeping some of our participants in line. Probably why he hasn't played his turn in PB13 yet. mischief

I missed the turn rolled. Can you pause the game for me if you read this, Old Harry? I'll play it in a couple of hours, when I'm back home.

Regarding this game, I'll only intervene if my input is required.

Oh man I'm gonna laugh so hard when Gavgai takes Nofarts worker.

Hmmm... taking notes. Demoted to Tier 9, I think.

At six eyes he wept: the tears
Adown three chins distill’d with bloody foam.
At every mouth his teeth a sinner champ’d,
Bruised as with ponderous engine; so that three
Were in this guise tormented. But far more
Than from that gnawing, was the foremost pang’d
By the fierce rending, whence oft-times the back
Was stript of all its skin.

Kuro is a surprisingly good player when it comes to fighting defensive wars- he's just awful to meh at everything else. Someone pair him with Nakor!

Would it be unsporting if Gaspar's team drops all goals other than screwing with Gavagai at this point? What's the norm in games like this?

Considering Gaspar / Noble are going to have to eliminate Gavagai anyway to have any sort of realistic chance of competing, the two objectives would seem to coincide nicely. Generally, focusing your entire game on screwing another player is considered poor form if you're massively unbalancing the game for everyone else in the process, but I don't think it matters much here given the isolated duel-inclined starts and Seven's lead. Most people don't care if a couple backwards nations in a PB try to find a little enjoyment in beating each other up.

I'm going to be really sad for ad hoc if he doesn't build more military to defend his Stonehenge soon. 2m has vultures and it doesn't look like he's going to stop building them until he's got the wonder. ad hoc's cap is so far away from the front that reinforcements whipped there won't be in time.

I think Gavagai conceded too much land in the border area to NobleGaspar and will pay for it long term.
