That is the one and only longbow guarding Bathurst out in the galley to be chained towards Somerset, but don't worry! I worked the bare plain hill in addition to the furs last turn so that this turn, I could do this. So walls and good solid units shall guard both cities next turn...and that carrack will go a-hunting.
I should definitely explore north and northwest of my core as well; no reason to not settle literally every tiny fishing rock in the arctic world now. St. John's is helping, though it might wait until there are one pop's worth of hammers before whipping, it's still recovering from the courthouse whip.
Banks just whipped in its courthouse, so that is 5gpt in savings, much needed with city #20 settled now. Now it's just grow, lill' buddy, grow...
We have a little bit of a culture issue here in Toronto as it grows on monk economy buildings. I hope the Vikings choose to solve it with culture in Bils/Pirates, not knights.

A note, here's my lag-spike-induced misclick:

I was going to be fine with the WLP assault.

Sorry folks, picked a bad time to get busy. Anyway, Somerset got a little threatened; sadly, he had three, not two, gorillas in this stack. Farewell little city, and farewell Mardoc's Company.
...I did ensure all three gorillas are now extinct.
Enough with the annoying stuff; I'll build knights and cut off Greenerland, and WLP will have to prove his manliness to Mindy another way. Meanwhile, in the core its mostly economy builds. Forbidden Palace starts next turn, and the courthouses already are having a nice impact in overall costs. Plus...
...I've got monks working on making beakers.

Dear capital, so near to popping a Great Engineer. Painful as it is, the best use for a GE is clearly a first golden age, so that will happen. Timing techs so that it can make a straight-shot harbor->grocer->bank-> feitoria. Oh yes. We're going for Economics, boys!

I hope the replacement company to bear my name is inbound.
Nice looking capital, though! Still #1 in the world?
Out of curiosity, how much are your monks producing these days? (that is, how many monasteries/temples/etc do you have?)
