WW 31 Game Thread PARANOIA

(January 19th, 2014, 13:41)Ryan Wrote: Good everyone is a suspect in this game. You should use your ability based on that and Il use my ability whatever it may be on the suspects I deem worth it. This is a long game and I am making it clear from now, that I am not dealing with those kinds of posts. Ive seen them this past day and ive seen them in games before. I am not responding to anything like that. I'd rather have on then be tortured every 48 hours. oh and his post was obnoxious enough IMO smile
As someone who's been harrassed a lot recently (by my dear friend Lewwyn), I think you're jumping the gun here. Jowy is not even a proper bully, and all he did was explain what he got out of your post. Stating that you're going to ignore posts like that gives you an alibi for ignoring later posts as well. That's useful scum cover, and is hence an anti-town move. I assume you still care about the game (we've hardly started, and we've gotten off to a great start), so this kind of reaction really is premature. So I hope you'll reconsider, even if Jowy is a tool smile

It does seem like quite an overreaction. Maybe for him the game is not in fact going well...

I think Azza was telling the truth at his last post. So he was not bussed. The easiest plan is to lynch Qgqqqq to make sure that we didn't catch 2-wolfs and then kill the people who voted Qgqqqqq late.

Although I'll probably vote old harry as that post is too juice-e.

@Serdoa Those 3 are special because they made a run on Qg during the last 10 minutes which would have saved an important wolf.

Why should I vote for him? And the same is btw true for Azza. I actually did believe that he was his normal self. So, I go for the one I believe is a wolf. smile

The bolded part is the strange thing: Because in one of your early posts you said:

I don't think your assessment of MJW is correct. He does plays that I find insane quite often, but in the few last games we played on RB with him involved he did never come across as crazy imo - his ideas and plays yes, but not he himself. He seemed very aware of the situation and how to use it best. Imo he showed pretty good play - not insane ramblings. Therefore I don't think he needs to maintain some "insane persona".

And honestly, I think you should know that.

Here you tell Azza directly that his MJW--thing is weird. But at the end of the day without Azza changing a slight bit he suddenly playing as expected? The bolded sentence is one reason why I voted Azza.

I'll I want to point out before the start of the next day is that I really don't like the following post:

It's also strange that novice didn't vote the same way as zak.

Don't know the Apolyton tradition.

I agree about OldHarry.

I don't think it's strange that novice didn't vote like Zak. I mean I think he's scum anyway, but even if he's not its not like they share a mind.

Is the think you don't like the vote without justification, the last minute jump onto a bandwagon or the "I'm going to regret this"?

For the former I didn't really have time to get my thoughts together, but they were that I don't think Catwalk is scum and I thought Azza had just got caught up with the normal MJW-argument and was a null tell. Q was more suspicious than either and I'll probably vote him again if he's on the block tomorrow. The "I'm going to regret this" was because I've really got no idea if Q is scum or not and if he isn't and I jumped on at the last moment I'd spend even more time having to defend myself tomorrow...

Can you point me back to what made you vote Azza? I still can't really see it.

That is what I was thinking too, but wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I didn't see much content from you - the only useful thing I got from you was that you thought it would be a kill-heavy or long game in post 103. In post 102 you'd promised to come up with a big post and didn't while not voting is a good way not to get blood on your hands. I'll bet you don't get lynched for it.

Old harry:

My first vote against him was not that serious. He said something that I thought was BS and I called it to see if he was a wolf making stuff up. After Serdoa's attack against him, and Azza not responding to it really, it was obvious that Azza really wanted to kill me regardless of my alignment. That's very wolfish and even if it wasn't, he was just acting out, it deserves to get punished as doing that (voting for someone because you don't like them) is very anti-town. 'Irrationally angry' Gaspar in wwCiv, were I personally attacked him, was able to be objective and takeout SlowCheetah.
