WW 31 Game Thread PARANOIA

Old Harry, those don't sound like something that would be more scummy then your perception of me at all. What really changed about your suspicion of me, if the best you have to edge me out was voting Serdoa for defending overmuch and bad voting (which you admit is near the same as before). Your post above implies that big scum tells were appearing all over the place which took me out of the picture - "unless I'm up for the lynch[rephrased rather then exact quote]" which sounds a lot like you're just waiting to see what is popular - but this very wishy-washy post (as well as previous ones) sounds more like you're simply following those leads that're more popular. I worry that you're simply noob-town, but it feels more and more like I will be lynching you come end of day.
As an aside, what does Canadian mean? (In the context of Merovech, and please don't anyone say its someone from Canada)

Gazglum I keep going back on forth at tbh. He felt really scum on day 1 but some of his post over the night and since have made me reconsider. I would also be interested in getting some more reads from Gazglum.

@Serdoa, yeah I strongly feel that Lewwyn is innocent. His cavalier attitude to it all sounds a lot like he genuinely expects to die tonight and he has also been posting in the early day today in a similar manner, as one who feels cleared and is doing his last hurrah to create as many reads and tells as possible. Sorta like he played back in WW15 (which is largely on my mind because Bob keeps referencing it tongue) after he'd taken down Zak. If things don't pan out like I expect, with him surviving the night or not having a good explanation then I'll definitely reconsider, but I simply expect the whole situation to resolve itself and thus view it as a distraction today. (I also have a hunch that his power is a vig but the flavor is what concerns itself with protection and he's simply being really cavalier about the whole incident because he expects to die.)

Theres a killing role alive atm. If hes a vigi. It takes two shots to kill someone. He isnt killing anyone. If hes scum or sk which is more likely we gain from this. If hes scum, he could have an ability different from his faction ability , that he can use tonight that will endanger us. I'd rather take a confirmed killer out than anyone else. Anyone not voting for him and choosing to go for random accusation... is wasting our time.

What you're putting as random accusations is simply mafia. Even if this was a proper scum scan then everyone who just sat on their hands and voted him would be wasting our time, or more precisely wasting the day. As you are. Please Ryan, try to contribute more then baying for Lewwyn's blood.

Bob, it may be best if you use it on Lewwyn, but if possible I think you should wait rather then deploy it this early.

I'll wait until close to the end of Day 2 before using it on anyone, but I think I have to use it on someone or the power moves to someone else, and I don't to take the risk of it falling into wolf hands.

Okay I'll settle for this, good thinking Bob.

Who to vote for, then?
There's a bunch of people I've got marked down as town, but I'll resist the urge to make a list lol
On the suspect front, no original material sadly.

I think Azarius' assessment of Serdoa is spot on and matches with my own impression. Exact same thing with his theory on Xenu from D1. Different players coming up with the same ideas separately makes me more inclined to believe that what we're seeing really is there. That said, no guarantees that it's right as far as alignment goes, of course. I think Serdoa as a town always has this aura of leadership and authority, which I'm not seeing in this game. He's frustrated and defending for his life. I think it matches with the attitude he had after WW29 when he was hella mad that we caught him D1, which'd make sense if we're about to catch him early and we even caught his scum buddy on D1. If Serdoa is town, I think he'll manage to make me change my mind like he did in WW28, where he went from a suspect to a confirmed town in one post. Xenu on the other hand still hasn't really done anything except play noob. I think there's a clear contrast with Old Harry here.. Harry seems more like legit noob town, sometimes coming up with decent things to say but making a lot of mistakes. If we just look at the content, Old Harry is more suspicious, yeah.. but Xenu just has no content, it's all fluff. It's not impossible that they are both scum, but Xenu would be the one I'd lynch first because it doesn't seem like we'll ever get any content to judge him by, which I suppose is the point of playing like that as scum.

I've skimmed through. In case Serdoa is still around, I want to ask him what's up with the new, mellow, humble Serdoa. And I'm not just talking about the smileys.

Ok, I'll bite on this, at least while I reread more carefully.

Well Serdoa, you did say zak was allowed to question this when I wasn't nod.

A bit odd to read Q as a "misguided villager", IMO. He's been quite coherent in his attack on Catwalk, even if I've been disagreeing with his premises. So I don't get why Catwalk is so apologetic on his behalf, here. From Catwalk's point of view, Q should just be "wrong", not "misguided".

Azarius - I do actually wonder if the smileys may be throwing us off, though. It's surprising how much more pleasant it is to read his posts when every paragraph ends like this. smile

Though I think he was a little bit off on day 1, too.

What? Lewwyn being a killer and Ryan giving abilities away right left and center? At the point that I posted they were waaaay more scummy. I've been thinking about day one a bit more since, and I think I was trying too hard not to OMGUS Catwalk (something I'm very conscious that other newbies have done), so saw your attack on him as unfair, when I should probably have joined you in a bout of righteous indignation.

Because it's a bit early in the day for the village to be locking onto a kill? I'd guess Rowain wants to keep debate going and I'm surprised at Zak and Imana (if he's village-controlled) finding that suspicious.
