WW 31 Game Thread PARANOIA

DO you actually think I'm a wolf or is it just for the information?

Missed this due to crossposting

Mostly for the information. It's very plausible your a wolf due to your style of playing to (or a villager). I really don't have a strong read on anyone. I have some good reasons for voting people but that does not mean their wolfs. (For example Tasunke lying in that mob madness game).

His posts reiterate bad arguments about either Zak or myself and he shows no interest in actually hunting other scum besides us.

Huh? Zak admitted it himself that he was busy on Day 1, which explained his play back then. I haven't brought it up since then, because he helped lynch a scum and has stepped up his game on Day 2. He seems town to me. And in case you missed it while busy creating your imaginary role (I kid, I kid), I had already switched off you and looked for other suspects (in this case, Serdoa and Xenu) before you made your newest reveal. Mainly because the team wanted to keep you alive for a night to see what happens, and I'm nothing but a team player as you know :P

Quote:Since you're around, can you explain these actions as town:

1) Leaving hints of your role
2) Fake-revealing just vigi at first

And I'd like to know if you think Ryan is lying. Ryan is saying that his only result was that you can kill, while you are claiming that you can both kill and protect. One of you seems to be lying about something.

Pretty sure you could answer all of em without giving away any more information about your role. In fact they still go unanswered. Well, we can assume that the answer to 2) was to confuse the scum, but since you had already skipped that claim and went to the next, you might as well have told us that you were trying to confuse the scum with the first reveal. It probably would have had a stronger effect that way, actually.

You are such a twat.

preface: OK, wall of text incoming, I've been working on trying to catch up while I worked today and it didn't happen. I wrote the replies below as I came across the posts and was hoping to get caught up before replying, but I didn't make it to the end of the thread. Reply begins here.

@Qgqqqqq, post 425 - Is it required to post a vote so early in the day? I'm 10 pages behind in reading this thread right now, I have no idea where the conversation is at this moment. I'm apparently not great at making my own cases yet so I'm sifting through the cases the players are building. If I see something plausible or that I think requires further comment, I'll say so. I can't support posting just to post, though, if I don't feel I can add a lot to the argument.

So yeah, I AM non-comittal right now. I'm not convinced of who looks like scum or who looks like village yet. But we have a while before deadline, so there's no rush to vote.

@novice, post 430 - Did you miss the part where I said I've never played or lurked one of these games before? I had zero preconception of the rules coming into this game, OK? If I thought you guys wanted me running to Brick every time I had a question I'd do that instead of asking you guys. But players talking to management all the time doesn't sound too legit, either.

@Ryan, post 441 - Yeah, I don't understand this either. What's the point of saying you have information but you can't use it because you're going to die? And how do you know you'll die? Previous events don't guarantee future outcomes, right? If you're liable to be killed by a wolf I assume a doctor would save you given that there aren't many other (one) wounded players yet. Then again, among the wounded players, you sound a lot more like a wolf than Lewwyn does, so if there's a doctor in the house maybe he ought to save Lewwyn and leave you to fend for yourself. That might save us from having to lynch you later anyway if the wolves/killer(s?) finish you off first (whichever faction you aren't a member of). lol

@MJW, post 450 - I disagree, I'm writing my responses in notepad too because it works better with how I'm able to consume this thread while I'm at work. I'm trying to catch up all the way to the end before posting and writing quick replies as I go is going to yank me to the end of the thread where I have to go back to where I was. That's annoying. I kinda wish I could read part of a thread, leave the thread, and come back to where I left off, like a bookmark or how an e-reader works. But with this forum when you click a thread it marks it all read, which is terrible in a really long thread like this one.

@Ryan, post 451 - Well this is all very interesting. popcorn

@Ichabod, post 508 - So you suspect me for saying I'm a noob and needing help, as well. I can see I've gone about this all wrong. If I'd said I was a turnip and acted like it, would you guys suspect me for being a turnip, too? rolleye OK, I'll stop asking for help. But when I screw up on something easy and get myself or another villager killed don't be surprised. And don't ask me what that could be or how it would happen, I don't know. I'm a turnip. Turnips aren't supposed to know.

@Serdoa, post 525 - "It's not like I smile because I want to, I smile because I was forced to. smile " lol Where's thestick when you need him? That's probably going straight into his signature when he sees it. Also, I hope I don't get hit with that smiley thing, it's got to be unbearable.

@Merovech, post 550 - I'm trying my best to get away from the inexperience topic since it seems that's all you guys have heard from me so far and several people suspect me because of it. But let's try this. The first time I played Monopoly as a child I didn't have any idea how to do it, so I asked the players (family) I was playing with to get the general feel for it. Then at some point I read the instructions. You can imagine how, after going around the board once, it was a lot easier after that.

[[I'm still five hours behind on this thread...trying to catch up...what a blessing for the mail server to go down and keep me at work an extra couple hours?!]] --snip, a few hours later--

Aaaaand the mail server is back up again, fuck this, I'm going home. I can't read through another 60 posts before posting something, you'll have me lynched before I can even say anything in that case. Hopefully this isn't all too old to reply to now. I'll try to get back online again tonight and get current on the rest of this, but it's 8PM, I have a 45 minute drive home, would like to eat, and my wife probably wants to see me too...so...we'll see. (oh and goddammit...play PB11....grrrrrr!!!!!!) Brick, do you have the power to mod-kill PB11?

note to self, pick up reading at post 551...

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

WW28 smile He was scum and I caught him on Day 1, but he threw a temper tantrum when I made my case. I thought it was overblown and faked, so I wanted to continue the case on him, but no-one wanted to get involved in that and he got away with it lol

I have to go to bed now for my second interview.

Anyway I think lewwyn is really annoyed at jowy and that's hard to be when someone rightfully called you out.

Okay. I'll check out that day 1 before I post again.

Quote:What? Lewwyn being a killer and Ryan giving abilities away right left and center? At the point that I posted they were waaaay more scummy. I've been thinking about day one a bit more since, and I think I was trying too hard not to OMGUS Catwalk (something I'm very conscious that other newbies have done), so saw your attack on him as unfair, when I should probably have joined you in a bout of righteous indignation.

That isn't what you wrote, at least the way I took it:

(January 20th, 2014, 17:07)Old Harry Wrote: Well there was the mess with Ryan and Lewwyn going on at the time except that they've both looked more villagery in the aftermath, I don't like Jowy asking everyone to stop revealing and then asking Lewwyn for more info and I don't like how everyone seems to be voting for me.

What's bothering me most is the number of people I don't have a gut feel for either way:
- Ichabod - he gets credit for pegging my stuff as nooby but his criticism of Serdoa is "there were some good points against him by other players, though I don't remember exactly what they were"
- Matt - just correcting things people didn't understand from the rules, not much else except that his vote on Bob seemed to miss that Bob had already mentioned wolves could attack themselves
- Mero - Canadian, but getting better
- Novice - Saying "This is not good" eight minutes before Azza was lynched must have been what led to Gaz, Serdoa and me piling on, so that makes it his fault
- Serdoa - as bad at voting as me so far, with so much time spent defending something that wasn't even an attack on him, I think maybe he protests too much?
- Xenu - barely here
- Sunrise - keeping his head down except for tagging the top candidate (Hi!), he hasn't risked a vote yet today

Speaking of which I'm not voting Lewwyn today and I don't want to turn Sunrise's attention into a vote so I'll have to vote for one of my colleagues at the end of the Q bandwagon, which is going to be [applies padding] Serdoa. [Hides]

I thought you were saying that those in the list were the ones you found scummy and therefore were presumably more scummy then you found me. And your I really don't like this about-turn of totally accepting what I was saying when it was enough to lynch me for it, and now agreeing with my hit on catwalk when still today he found it suspicious. And what he wrote initially didn't sound like he was finiding the whole Ryan-Lewwyn incident suspicious. He wrote:
"I think other people have said more scummy things now though, so it depends who else is up for the lynch."
Which really doesn't sound like he was reacting strongly to the actions of Ryan/Lewwyn, but rather that a lot of people had been saying relatively scummy things...things and people that he has failed to produce (I'm not saying they aren't there), but instead he is rewriting the intent of his earlier actions.
Combined with his very wishy-washy and non-committal tone, lack of content and suspicious voting, I'm pretty sure we have a scum in Old Harry.

I would also be prepared to vote novice for his play (or lack thereof) and because he reads very scummy if there isn't sufficient support for Harry.

Beyond that I'm suspicious of Gazglum for the tone of his posts, lack of content and the catch that Zakalwe made, Space for his lack of any content and seemingly playing up his noob side and a few other people based largely off how they read (Jowy, Ichabod and Sunrise), but I'm much more certain on Harry and novice.

Cross-posted with a lot. Jowy stop antagonizing Lewwyn, Lewwyn stop reacting. nono
I am the me who is resisting getting into a fight on the internet today, and as a result everyone is happier smile
