If he's just buddying up he's still lying. The wording had a strong implication that he had inside information, it's ridiculous for him to insist that the implication wasn't there.

I can tell you that Rowain does not in fact have more information on me by himself. I followed him N1 as you all know (I really don't get why no one even asked about that till now... though see the point I make below). So, either we are a terrible scum-team that is completely incompetent or you can just accept that we both believe that the other is highly likely to be a villager and that there are better players to go for in our opinion right now.

I gave Rowain an item yesterday already. It was a doc in a box, restoring a clone which he used on Ryan (that was all already told in this thread). I gave Rowain another item now - from the sounds of its name a protective one - because I would like to live tomorrow still, I can't use it on myself and I'm pretty sure that he got all that without me spilling it in the thread, what I would have had to do had I given it to someone else. (Besides it being dumb to feel the need to be protected, have a protection item available but not give it to the only player that seems to believe in your innocence). Of course thats a moot point now, but at least it shows me that I was right and that most players are really

- not reading what is actually written (see the statement that Rowain lied, the surprise when I pointed the scum-PM out, etc.)
- not thinking about what play would make sense in what situation

I'm not saying I do that always, but having discussed so lenghty about the topic I really don't get how these points all have to be pointed out again and again. And not only once but I think the 4th or 5th time now.

(And after all that I'd like to add that I believe Rowain is highly likely to be a villager, but I will have one or two questions myself tomorrow regardless. Obviously these could be asked earlier by someone else, but given how much was obviously not read I doubt it.)

Btw: While on this topic: Guys, you realize that a lie is stating something untrue right? Because you clearly use lie when what happened is that you didn't read what he actually had written but instead assumed stuff that wasn't actually there. Not denying that it could be misunderstood, but that is not lying. And by the same token, let me tell you:

Serdoa, do you agree that he very strongly hinted at having inside information about you, based on how he worded his recommendation to us? Was he simply somehow wording it differently than intended, or did he mean to convey this impression? In your opinion, of course (since he isn't going to answer us).

Well, if his actual N1 target was, say, Lewwyn, then he would need to lie about his targets. So Merovech's claim does lend more credence to his story, even if the targeting of Old Harry could have been for towncred, like MJW says. If he is a SK then he's probably been planning the compulsive vig claim all along.

Serdoa, maybe I'm slow but I don't see how you following Rowain can give him info that you're town.

I think he had not intended it. If he had intented to fool you, he would not have made the point about not today, the next day or D5. That was actually giving already clearly away that he has no result on me. What I think though happened is that you all for some reason interpreted that as try to not hint at his seer-role, while in all honesty if he had that, he would not say anything at all because the chance that I would get lynched was indeed not as high that it made sense to give a seer-role away (imo).

Also, I am not sure that he is not 3rd party (or maybe scum). But I believe from his play that scum is highly unlikely (again, why save a villager [what you can't know for certain but I do]) and 3rd party, though more likely, still doesn't seem very likely to me. If he is a solo-role I think there are better players to buddy up to then me (I'm likely to die early if I play good and not have influence if I play bad, both isn't helping you as solo-role in the endgame when you most need it).

I think it may be as simple as Rowain buddying up to Serdoa for items, regardless of both of their alignment. It's obviously working, and I'll admit to no small amount of jealousy that there's been a lump of coal in my stocking

May I remind you that Serdoa handing me the docbot happened before my declaration? In fact he gave it to me after a long discussion. Perhaps you should read the thread again? Maybe you can draw some conclusions yourself?

You can decide I'm scum and need to be lynched. novice has played often enough with me to know that I give **** about the lynch, that I do what I think right. You can accept what I have told you and act accordingly or do what pleases you.
