Why would they not be able to hit themselves? I can't really follow the rest of that post, but I agree he can be left for another day. Maybe tomorrow. Or maybe the day after today. Will also give him the chance to hunt us a communist <= what a communist looks like
Rowain, is it in the village's best interests for me to answer your questions now? Doing so would effectively be my reveal.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.
1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.
2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.
3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.
4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.
and theres also the chance that scum wont be able to kill me by normal kills due to protection roles and want to lynch me to insta kill me. Also, Just for this to be known. I wont go into post fights with anyone. Espically after the stuff I have seen in this thread and this wont change for every WW game I play.
P.S just came home from my exam :D I did really well.
P.S number 2 : Serdoa , an honest question. I would have pmed if it was allowed. Are you still mad at me from that game? This is the second game you've attacked me while referencing that game of the two games ive played since then. If you are still mad please tell me what I can do to ask for your forgiveness. Id rather not spend the rest of my time here with distrust from you guys...
Ryan, my friend, this game is based on mistrust. There's just no way this game can be played if everyone just took everything at face value and believed everything the others say. If you are going to classify every single argument that is made pointing out some suspicion about you as "fighting", the game just loses its meaning (I don't think anything I've said can be understood as "fighting" or interpreted in an offensive way - if that's the case, sorry about that). And it's the same if you are going to think that references to previous games you played are due to people being mad at you. Well, you played a game where you used a strategy of appearing really hurt by poeple accusing you of something and you were scum that game. How can you expect us not to suspect you again from doing the same?
Frankly speaking, I feel no joy at accusing you because of this behaviour. And that's bad, because I like to enjoy the gameplay of WW and that means to enjoy making cases against people you are suspicious of. I hope I'm not sounding too harsh here (I don't intend to), but I think it'd benefit both you and the other players if you realize that nothing that's being said here (at least in most of the cases) is on a personal level.
Anyway, to cheer things up, this reminds me of some times I played live WW with the drama club I am part of. There was this girl that always got mad at her fiancé when he was a wolf because she couldn't accept that he lied to her so easily. Well, what was the guy supposed to do, just admit he was a wolf. Well, that'd probably be for the best, I guess.
I am just worried of hurting people or ruining my friendship with u guys. I dont think that people recovered from that game. If this isnt the case Il spam fight you in the thread :P. I just am to scared to hurt you guys again. I am sorry for the " big guy no one can touch face". Serdoa sometimes makes me feel its personal :P. I honestly feel like I hurt him...
Well, much like everyone else, I also have a certain line which I don't like to cross while playing WW (I dislike personal insults, harsh language, faking real life excuses, etc.). When people do this kind of thing, I get a bit "annoyed", but I can also understand that other people may not have the same "line" as I have. I don't expect anyone here to actually try to intentionally hurt another player. So, while I may end up with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth after a game (it happens), it'll never make me stop respecting any of you.
Funny you'd ask Jowy. N3 was the night when novice tried to donate his clone to MJW (I had noted in my list Q, but IIRC it was MJW) but was
- visited by sunrise
- lost a life
what somehow interfered with his clone-donation.
@Ryan: I'm not hurt, but Ichabod is exactly right about what he said. I just don't trust you in these games when you get emotional. Because I know that you definitely are able to fake it - which is perfectly within the rules of WW btw - so that is a "no-tell" for me.
As for your point about novice: novice being scum would automatically make you scum, but that is not true the other way round. You being scum doesn't mean novice is scum. So if I would suspect you both, we should lynch novice first. But I actually do suspect you more. And if you are town, then novice is town, giving us a definitive villager (well 90%).
Still, xenu still has not been around and Azarius is awfully quiet, either is the timing or he just waits to see if actually anyone is going for him. Can we have a tally? And maybe discuss these last 4 hours that most of us Europeans should be around what to do?
