WW 31 Game Thread PARANOIA

I'll put my vote on Sunrise; like I told him yesterday, neighborizer is such an archetypical scum role. He also said something like "there's not much to discuss since it's all about Bob vs. Gazglum right now", and then ended up on Rowain.

Zak, I think that's a bit of a stretch. I said that at a point where the vast majority of the votes and discussion were about Bob vs Gazglum. Then when I voted Rowain I also stated that if said vote was going to end up as a waste I'd pick a side in the Bob vs Gazglum debate. That ended up not being necessary, since Gazglum was lynched by a four vote margin.

Btw I went back to check on Day 1. Sunrise and Ryan were two that had their votes elsewhere than on any of the leading candidates (Azza, Catwalk, Q) and posted near the deadline. They could have either joined on the bus or saved Azza, but did neither of those things.

So no one is posting an order but people are claiming anyway. We do not want this. At this point we are running out of any possibilities to gain information from role reveals when the intention seems to remain to have all roles out by the end of the day. So I am going to stipulate a role claiming order. When you claim we want the following information:
1) the name of your role
2) the flavor used in your role (this must NOT be copied directly, but should be shortly summarized).
3) what your role does
4) who you have used it on and what results you received
5) anything further you might ever wish to reveal at any point in the game (any passive side effects and so on)

This is a much more definitive list then earlier so I am including all players in it. Whether town or scum you should claim as soon as you are online and up. Do not claim earlier, do not delay it when you are up.

I'm sorry if people disagree with this order, but I have tried to make allowances for both timezone/timing issues and other peoples suspicion. If someone else (that I trust, so catwalk probably) had big problems with this one enough that a alternative is superior, then they can suggest it, but I don't want people to end up arguing big about this, which is why I'm trying to get it sorted out now, so we will be able to have plenty of time to weighed it and not have it dominate the discussion around lynchtime. If you think I'm scum and argue against this on that basis, then I did give you a day to do so so I assume none of those will compromise the order. If you disagree with the order given because of where I have placed certain players, then honestly I think we should all just deal with it. This wouldn't be my first choice either but we don't want to get caught up discussing trivial matters like this, we just need it out of the way.

This post is hilariously funny to me. Lord Q has decreed we reveal in this order...yeah, sure. Unfortunately, to get any value out of my role reveal I need to reveal after the people I've used my role on during the first three nights. There's no value to the town otherwise. As I write this I'm trying to catch up on the thread, but the people I've targeted so far are Jowy (has revealed), Rowain (has not revealed, or I haven't read it yet if he has), and Merovech (not sure about him either but maybe he has?). I'll reveal results of my role after they reveal their roles. I'm sure you guys can read between the lines about what my role is, after I've said this. I'm not trying to be mysterious, I'm trying to not throw away the one good use of my role with a pointless mandatory/scheduled reveal order.

Oh well, Ryan, xenu, Azarius. Those are the three I think are most likely to be scum:

- Ryan for the acting and as Ichabod laid out his non-play on D1 and still getting killed on N1
- xenu for acting all noob at the start, just to show quickly that he very well understands what to do and his general play that rapidly changed from the start to now imo
- Azarius for being a compulsive killer and I said already with Gazglum that someone that has to kill is not really a role to keep around

Do we really have to do this again? If I hadn't learned by game day three how to play this game you guys ought to have rightfully lynched AND burned me. But now we're what, a week of real time into this? I can learn, it's amazing! I know maybe some of you guys who watch me play Civ think I can't learn, but I do. I really, really do. Maybe I have a skill, time, or effort cap, and my amazing and apparently unexpected output of (emulated/simulated) human thought will come to a screeching halt soon, or I'll need to be rebooted, or something, but I am a bit tired of having to respond to this particular charge. I only have you all to thank for enabling my learning, by answering some questions, pointing me to internet resources, and not lynching me long enough to let me keep playing.

With that written (and allowed to rest now), I've now caught up on reading the thread and see no new reveals. And instead I see another question asking if we're still going to do reveals. Well, should we? It seems like half of us have, half haven't, or some other number if anyone playing along in Excel at home can give a specific number. I am willing to reveal my role, but if I do and then Rowain or Merovech reveal theirs it will certainly be easy for them to fake something if they have to. Do I need to be more explicit than that, or should I just give up on trying to catch communists in lies and give away what I know?

Busy day at work, I'm finishing my lunch break now but I'll try to be back on during the next couple hours. You guys that are voting me, I'd like a response from you guys as to what you want to hear from me. As for my own vote, I still haven't seen any reason to change it yet.

Hm I think yes as you had already revealed in thread. It might help especially given the current discussion about novice/Ryan. you could bring some clearance here.

I'm not convinced on the case vs novice. So far I'm not a fan of his play but the whole case is too circumstantial. Besides if scum have a roleblocker why didn't they block ryan on N2? And for the moment I won't dig into a possible novice+ryan scumpair.

@Bob scrubbing Azarius is a good idea and a must if we don't lynch him.

Once again, as I say one thing to Rowain Serdoa comes back with something for me (after Rowain refuses to answer. Again). Does no one else find this fishy at all? It stinks like three week old sunburned dead fish to me. Serdoa, I'd vote to lynch you if I wasn't already voting Rowain.

Xenu if you are a villager I would strongly suggest that you talk now. If I reveal first your claim later will look like a rather weak excuse. See the difference between you and me is I was tracked on N1 so I can prove where I was and you not.
