WW 31 Game Thread PARANOIA

I totally understand you. I'm very certain about him, but there is no definitive proof and if I'm wrong (heck, even if I'm right in case we have several factions) we lose a good role that can definitely help us. That's pretty much the only reason I'm reading still here actually, because I think about what other explanations there are, for the kills (and missing ones) as well as for his behaviour.

And as stated above, if we have multiple factions, what seems very likely by now, we could simply keep him "protected" by Merovech and stop him from killing while letting him scan. He could lie obviously but in case of multiple factions he needs to get rid of them anyhow, so I wouldn't see the incentive of lieing. And with villagers he really can't lie more than once before we are certain that he is scum. A 1 for 1 trade definitely isn't the worst thing in the world. We are still 15 players, so even with a high amount of scum I would expect that we are at least 10 villagers to 5 scum at this point.

On the other hand, his complete lack of even in the slightest trying to make this argument himself (or any argument really) does not make me feel comfortable letting him live. It feels to me like I would reward him for basically doing the most anti-village play he could. And that doesn't feel right.

I support Serdoa's theory about Ryan. The coincidence of his visits and subsequent deaths is hard to explain away.

Those killings were conciednce and I just am not sure how to defend myself. The way you attack me just leaves me blank at what to say and I cant ask you " how do I defend myself". The way I scanned and acted in my mind felt like the right thing to do.

As a seer, it just felt like I need to focus on the meta. I need to focus on getting targets, dont attempt to lynch someone unless you had hard evidence about it. I tried to point out that I thought it was a heavy kill game earlier due to my role. I reveleaed on the second day because I thought I would have died.. Because I only had one life and I just thought it would be stupid to die without revealing any information about me finding that lewwyn could kill. I was avoiding going into arguments because I didnt want to get trapped into a fight talk that I am not that good at yet. This isnt emotional appeal this is what was in my mind. Lewwyn was was because of how he acted with me, he felt different and more calmer towards me and agreeing with me. It just want what he used to do. Bob was because he was writing a lot meta posts and being netural and i thought it was suscipous the way he was posting. Novice because I though Rowain healed me with his doc bot and i was like " no scum would heal a seer". Serdoa gave him the item so I assumed he was right. They were both focusing on Novice and I decided to scan novice to determine if hes A) scum or B) Town. That way I would end the talk about him move unto someone else if he was town. Serdoa started attacking me and I thought it was weird to want to kill a seer. This is just my explanation and if there's anything else you want me to say to prove to you I was not malicious feel free.. I am not trying to appeal to emotion no matter how much u say it xD I just am lost as to what I am supposed to say..

I could perhaps go for Catwalk, too. My town read on him has been waning a bit lately, and I agree that his explanation for targeting MJW was very strange. So maybe he did kill him. The thing is - Ryan has been visiting someone who died (or very likely was attacked) every single night. It's just a bit much.

I think Bob should be scanned by Xenu, because I can't imagine that his ability is called Throwdown if he's really a watcher. Paranoia makes much more sense as a watching ability, so no real point in scanning Catwalk. That said, I don't trust Xenu to be town, either. And I still don't like the way Sunrise is lurking in the background, even if he's proven that he is a genuine neighborizer. Q is a potential SK in my mind, as an alternative to Ryan. Or maybe Internal Security, whatever that means. I also think Novice is likely to be lying about his role, but he could still be harmless, since he allegedly cannot kill.

So there's plenty of reasonable lynches, really, but it's very hard to get past the trail of blood left in Ryan's footsteps.

@Jowy - unless you assume that Serdoa with his tracking ability is scum, then scum will be hesitant to lie about who they visited. (There's Q's ability too, for that matter.) So the fact that Ryan told us who he visited without being prompted doesn't really tell us anything.

You're misreading me entirely. I'm not saying you're scum because you've been A) a newbie and B) busy. I'm still a newbie myself (according to popular opinion), and I've also been busy. What makes me suspect you're scum is your reaction to accusations of you lurking and playing a bit weird. I found your newbie post earlier entirely unbelievable, and I still do. I also think you way overreacted to the lurker accusations, considering that many players were accused of the same thing. If lurkers are not called out on lurking, they can cruise to an easy victory as scum because we have little useful information on them.

And I think you knew this is what I meant, I find it suspicious that you try to distort my accusation once more. To reiterate: I don't think you're scum because you're a busy newbie. I think you're scum because you touted your newbieness from the rooftops in an unbelievable post and because you overreacted to accusations of lurking.

I think Ryan is lynchbait, and we've had a lot of that lately.

I just have a feeling that Ryan is gonna flip town. I believe in two scum kills a night and no roleblocker, in which case N2 scum kills were on Serdoa (doubling up with Gazglum) and MJW. Which means the missing kill had nothing to do with Ryan or Novice.

What is your theory for the 3 kills opn N3 ?

How do you know you see the faction ability too. Is it clearly stated in your role-PM , did you ask BRick or how else?

Forgive my persistence here but that is a question that needs to be answered exactly in case you get lynched.

The lies were tricks I learned from Serdoa in the Undercity game. He faked a day kill Vs Q in order to see how he reacted. I think that was dumb especially when I was claiming seer.Faking a day kill is much more different then lying or being unsure about a result. I thought I could pressure someone to talk. If I had targeted Zak in this game is because he is still alive. He is a target "if town" dies very early on. "if scum" never dies or gets killed by a vigilante. This was build up on me reading lurker threads of the past games before I quit WW. I think Gaspar posts. Even thinking back on the game we won as scum, He made us kill Zak night one.

I don't know how can I explain my reasoning for those targets more.. I choose them based on my thinking and intuition , nothing more. Novice was just a brilliant idea in my mind. I get the chance to end all discussion between Novice, Rowain and Serdoa by showing that he is town. It wont be 2 days of "novice blabla". I even wrote that when I said why i voted novice. I think Serdoa is a very good player but he focuses on a single person to much and i wanted to fix that..

I ask brick for example : " Can Serdoa kill ? " , He then checks his mutant and faction abilities. If they can kill by faction ability or mutant ability. He responds with positive. IF not he responds with negative. Thats all I get to know. He cant tell me which one they can kill with. Its stated very clearly in my role pm.
