Perhaps RB mod can be altered to remove everything that makes it RB mod, but keeping the ability to run > 18 civs

I don't think Krill had a OCC in mind when he floated the idea.
And I likewise agree that putting all the talent on one team wouldn't be fun for most of the others. Did anyone read PB12? I didn't. I saw the roster and saw no need to lurk further.

You'll need a mod to break the player limit and a definite setup with sign ups.

I really want this to happen, though I don't think we need any of the wacky variants. ~34 (come on, lets get 34, ALL OF THE CIVS) is wacky variant enough.

Well, what defines wacky? How tight of a map do people prefer? Also, would you rather play with or without the RB mod?

No matter what you think of the thematic changes in RBMod, the civs and leaders are much more balanced for a game like this or else you still give a massive advantage to India / Inca / Pacal / Willem.

so, if you guys really want this to happen, setup decisions need to be made early. just discussing it is not likely to find a consensus for 20+ players, someone needs to get a settings ballot posted.
