Back story:
Wolf's Creek’s history reaches back to when the pilgrims founded this town on sacred Native American soil. The natives were either driven away or killed by the pilgrims in their attempts to protect their home from colonization. With their dying breaths, the shamans swore that the wrath of their guardian spirit, the wolf, would fall upon their enemies.
The pilgrims didn't care. They founded a town which quickly became a center of trade.
This center of trade contained a diverse populace of varying professions and crafts. Some knew the secrets of healing. Others were merchants with silver tongues so sly that they could convince others that their rags were, in fact, something valuable. There were some that used their expertise to become skilled hunters and trackers. They could find the greatest of prey or the most villainous of criminals. Their years of prosperity continued - but the promised day of vengeance drew ever nearer.
The annual town assembly had arrived. Citizens gathered in the main square, where the mayor addressed their concerns. He stood up to address the gathered crowd, but before a word escaped his mouth, there was a sound, as if the Earth itself was wailing in pain . For a moment, the ground shook, and groaned. Then a moment of silence. A keening wail erupted in the minds of all who were present.
They all felt the wind moving around them, shifting, changing. Piece by piece, something coalesced in the center of their gathering. A blinding light emanated from those pieces, covering the area. As the light subsided, in front of the mayor stood a ghostly wolf. The wolf looked at the sky and howled as if in mourning of a lost friend.
His eyes, full of grieving rage, centered on the crowd. He bared his teeth, snarling: "Begone!"
Light burned their eyes. Their minds stilled. Everything faded to white...
Introduction:
Welcome all to WW 32, brought you to by Ryan and co-hosted by Catwalk. This is our first game as mods, we hope it will be an experience that all of you will enjoy and/or remember We have pondered many crazy and exciting ideas, and ended up deciding on a fairly conventional setup.
Game setup:
1. This game is intended for 15 players. That number can increase or decrease based on the amount of sign ups. The sign ups will be left open until hopefully the number 15 is met, if not possible the game will be adjusted.
2. Standard winning conditions apply (village wins when all of the wolves are dead, wolves win when they have a majority or this is inevitable).
3. Secondary factions are neither confirmed nor denied.
4. 48 hour days, 24 hour nights.
Game start and lynch deadlines are up for discussion. My suggestion is starting it on Friday (Feb 21) and having the lynch deadline at 5:00 GMT. Anyone thinking about joining, feel free to chip in about these.
