Bacchus has played so if you want to play then go for it scooter. I don't think anything needs to be done on the Bacchus front - just keep things as hidden as possible and next turn we'll move and upgrade the zerkers.
With the upgrading for TBS front, you're more familiar with the troop placement than I am - just give me my Leadership!
Edit- otherwise i'll be on the same time we were chatting last night!

I don't think I'll be able to touch the game until around the same time as we chatted last night, so I'll have to wait. Or if I do, it'll be so brief that I won't want to play quickly.

Because I'm an idiot would be the main one.
The changes to workshops, mines, windmills and watermills were, I think, the very first changes that were put in place back in 2010. TBH small stuff like quarries were not on my mind at the time.

That is half on me, too. That, slavery, and the traits were the original core.

i hope the chats are due to irl busyness, and not burn-out on turn reports.

While we wait for scooter, here's a tech update:
Bacchus got Compass
Azza got Code of Laws
WilliamLP got Compass, Optics
OldHarry & Fintourist got Military Tradition
Commodore got Rifling
Ichabod got Philosophy
dtay got Economics
mackoti got Nationalism
We've passed dtay for #2 on the tech list. Mackoti is still 6.5k ahead

Oh the chats haven't been too exciting, just like "do we want to upgrade X or Y" kind of stuff. Not really fit for exciting turn reports. Hopefully we'll have some of those for you over the next week.

Turn 183
Don't worry lurkers, we promise lots of fireworks very shortly
In the east we had to do the most gruntwork, moving troops and ships around to set everything up just right. The biggest change was using our great general to get a stack of berserkers from 3xp to 5xp.
We upgraded 6 of those units to CR2, but decided to keep 3 more at 5xp for defensive purposes. The best unit that Black Sword has right now are knights, and with 5xp our grenadiers will be able to take Formation if need be for defense. Then there were the two great general units which we upgraded for free:
The axe got upgraded to a zerker this turn, so we could gain the free combat 1 and amphibious upgrades. Next turn he'll upgrade to a grenadier, but sadly this puts him a turn too slow for the first wave. That's okay, he can join in on round 2. And yes, I took leadership. Perks of being the turnplayer
Here's how we ended the turn out west:
We have 12 units and 8 frigates in range of Chrysallis and Hiram next turn. He has both units stuffed of cities - 6 in each if things don't change. We may not take either city next turn, we may just kill 5 defenders in each and call it good before moving on. After we do take Hiram, we have 9 knights waiting at Sonics to load up and be transported over, to supplement the grenadiers on boats.
In the east, there's a potential hiccup to our plans:
Thats a carrack up north, 4 tiles away from our National Epic city. I'm paranoid enough that I convinced scooter to move a unit out of the invasion plan and into Lions. Except I forgot to upgrade the zerk before unloading it, so we have a spear and a zerker in the city now instead of a spear and a grenadier. Hopefully that is not an important distinction for next turn...
Btw, if Commodore does try something:
If he leaves us be then we're set up to go after Bacchus next turn
And because we've forgotten to check lately, here are events:
That's really bad timing by Black Sword. He won't be able to swap back to slavery for 4 more turns now

TBS played already, so we're just waiting on Bacchus and we're good to go. Bacchus has been logged into the forum for hours now, and I'm just dying for him to hurry up and play the turn already.

Hey guys. Our turn is up, and we're going to stream this turn. It's mostly for the purpose of discussing our moves while we play, but if you find that sort of thing interesting, the stream will be live on this page in about 10 minutes:
http://www.twitch.tv/rbscooter
As usual, apologies for the late notice, but we weren't sure when Bacchus would end turn. Barring something unforseen, we'll be declaring two wars during this turn, so bring popcorn.
