No argument about the resolution from Ichabod, but really, Gavagai?

And you accuse him of a double move? Maybe wait for him to log out or ask if he's done...? I mean seriously.

He ended turn, he isn't allowed to move after that. Its irrelevant that he's logged in. My $0.02.
Edit: To be clear the only thing I know about what's going on is from your post .

What? Since when aren't you allowed to move after you end turn and before you log out? If it's true, are people supposed to just know this rule without being told?

Good point. Its implied by the concept of turn splits, but I don't recall seeing it stated explicitly. You seem to propose the critera (TURN_ENDED && PLAYER_LOGGED_OUT) instead of just TURN_ENDED, but it feels more ambiguous to me.

I think you are right, Seven. But I think both gavagai and bantams had legitimate expectations that they could move their units (Gavagai due to bantams having ended turn, bantams due to the fact that he had been playing after ending turn since the beggining of the game), so it's a tough situation. I PM'ed bantams to see if he agrees to keep on playing, with a reload to his first login. If not, I think we'll have to settle for the reload solution.

In America, we back our teammates even if they are dead wrong, in the interests of locker room harmony .

Well, I'm agreeing with both of you, that's why we have a problem.

My understanding is that we take turns and play in good faith, and that's it. Ultimately the goal is to not screw that up and create a situation where the other players have to endure a reload. So if you are moving after someone, you should, well, wait to move until they are done. The goal isn't to wait to move until you think they are done, or until you think they should be done. The goal isn't to technically follow specific rules, be they rules that you are thinking or that I am thinking. It's to wait until they are actually done. If someone is still logged into the game, and for all you know, making moves, I don't know how you'd know they are done playing unless you ask them.
By the way, I don't think it's important whether someone has been playing a certain way since the start of the game at all. It just seems crazy to me to start moving your units while the guy you're supposed to move after is still currently - as far as you can tell - playing.
