If Bills was Canadian, it would be stagnated at size 14; I just can't afford to not grow every single land city to max size. Also, why no Replaceable Parts, Scooter? Mine mines' miners mine mightier.

Although the "Instant profits!!!" thing is a little misleading for the cram cities. Yes, each new city within at least a stone's throw of a palace is breaking even, but the returns are tiny compared to, say, lush equatorial postjungle cities. I'll crack 30 cities, 10 of those aren't ever going to amount to much.(March 3rd, 2014, 14:01)fluffyflyingpig Wrote: So why are there still arctic islands without Canadian cities on them? Surely you can cram another 5 or 6 cities on the map. I would point out that there is a valid city location not 3 tiles from your palace in the screenshot immediately following your comment. One that you in fact claimed to want to settle ages ago. So do you have a plan to win or are you just going to play with your snow balls until some one launches space?

As it is...nah. Just do stuff and improve self and quietly go to Romania and Michigan and replace Mack and Scooter's pipes with lead ones. Bah! That's all splendid and grand all all but let's turn this... ...into this. Booyah. And Scooter is going nuts while researching a tech that drafts Bigger and I SO THERE. Please ignore the power and the fact that I just swapped to Caste. That pretty GNP dropped just a tad with hiring of fifteen artists in Montreal, but bah! It'll go 15, 15, 18-1, 17-1, 16-1,15-1, 14-1, back to normal during this golden age. Not only is it brutally taking max advantage of Pacifism, it is also anticipating the loss of HR happy. Citizens will be happier once the crowding is reduced! Okay, required Moai-inna-golden-age money shot. MONEYBAG COASTS, WHOOP-WHOOP! So here's the thing. I want a third golden age sometime before I die. This means Pacifism. This, however, also means no Organized Religion. So if I somehow lose the Kremlin to someone by one turn, I will feel empowered and free to gnash my teeth in manly angst. But I think I can afford the time, and dangit, I want great persons. So here we are at the capital. (Also, feel free to gasp over dem beakers). Wanna see something funny? Anyone care to guess why I'm sticking the HE in this 'orrid town? Here we are, Canada, 1380 AD, golden age. If Scooter takes advantage of the Caste window this is the high mark. If he doesn't, this is the beginning of something truly beautiful up here in the ice and snow.

Biology and Railroad, actually, just working those four mines plus plains farms, city tile, and a temple will get a sweet 32hpt base in a tiny, tiny city (size 9, although might let it work the lake at 10).

Damn Krill.
I've been looking over what a cashbuy Kremlin economy can do, I've got more economy power than you did at first in PBEM 4 already, although my rivals are considerably more on the ball. Is there anywhere you summarized the general philosophy of this style of economy? I've been quietly trying the "cottage all the things" part, although no shrine/corps/Wall Street are up yet (actually, I need to figure out a Wall Street spot not, the damn thing is hellaciously costly though). What would you do differently if you were setting up a cashKremlin economy again? I've never ever ever run one.
