Sure, I'll post the next turn with resource bubbles on (assuming I remember, I should though )--I won't have them on all the time though, mainly because I forget a lot (it resets every time I start Civ, unlike tile yields), and they can block other information (they were blocking city populations in PBEM 58 for example).

Oh, the turn has already rolled--and most people have played already surprisingly

So, time to get my second hut! I move the scout, and it reveals...another map
Honestly, as much as I'm hating on the map huts, it's not that bad, since it means I don't have to invest as much in scouting, in a game where scouting is important. Clearly, there's much better land up here--the question is how far I want to expand in that direction. Cities that pop out to me at first glance are on the wine (it shares the sheep with the capital), a city by the eastern hut (either 1W or 1NW, depending on what's in the fog), and 1E of the clams (longer term I would want one by the fish probably, but I'm not sure it's that much better than the closer one--overexpanding has hurt me in PBEM 58.
Since it was requested, a capital shot with resources on:
My next plan is to scout east, popping the eastern hut on T6--hopefully it's not a map (or worse ).

Another boring turn--bask in the glory of the two whole tiles I defogged!
The more interesting thing is that people are actually starting to research techs this turn--I'm assuming that's people starting to research Fishing (or Archery I guess--that would be even faster due to arrow bonus). Honestly, I'm starting to think I should have researched Fishing before Mining in retrospect (since I won't be able to build a workboat right away in this case), but it won't be that bad--I want to build a scout or warrior before the workboat anyway I think
Though that does bring up a question: is there a grace period before huts can have barbs in them? I want to go warrior next (since I need warriors a lot more than I need scouts), but I want to pop the SW hut before T50, and if I can pop it with the warrior without risking barbs annoying me, I will.

Quick turn today!

Time to pop another hut? What did I get?
53 gold! That seems like a lot of gold for a hut--though admittedly, I haven't popped a hut/seen one popped in a while
Not sure where I should scout next--maybe I think I should head east, and leave the NW hut to be gotten by my second scout/warrior/someone else. And speaking of, for being a map with 33 players, I would have expected to have seen someone by now, especially since it looks like there's only water to my west and south--this map must be really weird. Does everyone have their only little area on a wheel, and we're all going to meet in the center? There looks to be a lot of land to the east though--maybe 3 civs to an area, and I'm on the western side of my area? Something like:
A--^--C (arrow points to center)
.....|.....
.....B.....
That would be interesting--but of course, this is just idle speculation on T6

Hooray, desert!
I'm still heading east, at least until I either find someone else or hit water--I want to keep heading north, but I'll keep aiming for hills to see more--this makes me want to go with a scout next, both to hit the two huts I can see, as well as scout north. That means I'll go (Worker)->Scout->Work Boat->Warrior, and then I'm not sure--probably either a worker or a settler, possibly delayed slightly to grow if necessary (not bothering to sandbox in this game for something as minor as that ). Still not sure of the tech path either--obviously I'm going Fishing next, and that should finish before my scout (and if it doesn't, I'll put a turn or two into the warrior first), but then I'm not sure--Bronze Working is the obvious "default" choice, but I don't know if there's anything better--AH is cheap (and I'll need it when I settle my southern city), and I know I don't want to head down the religious path since I'll want to build Ihkandas everywhere eventually--though that does give me outs to Oracle and early Forges...
See, I have no clue

I played 3 turns in PBEM 58 yesterday--when will we get that kind of pace in this game?
T8 Report:
The scout move's actually interesting today!
Not only did we find another hut (hooray!), we have our first barb appearance of the map! Of course it's only a wolf (which will almost certainly suicide on my scout), but it's still something--and means I probably should wait a turn before popping the hut, to avoid it healing me
I also finished Mining this turn, moving to Fishing as expected. I'm still not sure what to do next--my worker has plenty to do in the short-term (pasture pigs, pasture sheep, then mine one of the hills), so I think Bronze Working's still the correct path--then again, part of that's going to be determined about where my first settler's going (which is the main thing I'd do with BW short-term: chop a settler)--but of course I probably won't know that for certain until I know where the copper is
As such, maybe I want to give my worker more to do by researching something like Wheel first--I know I researched Wheel relatively late in PBEM 58 and suffered a bit from it :/

As expected, the wolf did attack and take me down to 0.9 health--it would have taken 2 turns to heal even that small amount of damage, so I decided to take the risk and pop the hut:
And was rewarded! Hooray, 81 gold! That will fuel plenty of turns of deficit research
Next turn I'll finally have my worker finished, so I'll be able to start pasturing the pigs--stuff will finally happen!

Really, really bad news this turn:
Somehow my city stopped working any tiles last turn and was working a citizen instead--I have no clue how that could have happened, and I assume there's nothing that can be done about it other than a reload (which clearly isn't going to happen for something as minor as this--of course this isn't minor given everything else, but in the larger sphere it is). As such, everything's pushed back a turn
At least the scout move revealed good terrain?
No, I'm really not happy about this--I'm accepting my fate though

wow bummer about the citizen. :-(
Not sure about barb immunity in huts, maybe start a general forum thread about barb rules?
