Alright, we've had no posts in this thread for six hours, and prediction entries for Game Five are now closed. We had another great turnout, especially considering that this field of leaders was considerably less interesting than the last one. The writeup for this game is linked below, we'll tally up the results of the picking contest tomorrow. Thanks to all who participated.

Spoiler for immediate results:
1) Lincoln
2) Augustus Caesar
3) Washington
4) Kublai Khan
5) Ragnar
6) Hammurabi

Spaceship victory, Turn 315. Ragnar owes all of us a lot of money.

I expected both American leaders to do better than predicted, and suspected Lincoln would be the one to lag behind due to his unwillingness to declare war. Quite unfortunate how that turned out.

I want someone to put together a pretty graph or infographic of the statistics generated by this endeavor.

Well, I was right about Augustus doing well!

Dang, I was close. Ragnar warring with Augustus and losing to Praets was the key part of my prediction, and that happened. Kublai sinking himself on Hammurabi was also part, and it did happen, though I thought Hammurabi would put up just a bit more of a fight - three turns! What really ruined me was the unanticipated amount of warring Lincoln did - the cities he "stole" from Augustus, or perhaps the fact he and Augustus fought Kublai at all. Augustus benefitting from his land to win by space was clearly completely plausible; Lincoln just did it better, so my placements were reversed. Ah well, even Nostradamus was a little wrong, wasn't he? wink
