Quote:Scooter's stripped his garrisons to the bone. Three or more cavalry will get to the three cities immediately. Sadly, see that airship? Physics enable map hacking.
At least it's later then hunting...

Mounties are mounting all over the place, folks! I'm still very much waiting here, but although Scooter has unlocked infantry, cavalry are really darned good...ironclads, cannon, cavs with a better production ought to see us be able to edge him out even conventionally. But I'm still not sure if that's how I best win.
The power says...maybe. Bleh. I value my friendly borders and I have zero desire to just screw with Scooter here, but if I could take him...maybe, maybe, we're looking at a new three-giant world.

Those are the fun decisions! The ones that are obvious are barely decisions at all, really.
I'll *try* not to torment you with 'what if's, no matter which way you go. But no promises!

Anticipatory holding of breaths; nothing new rushed this turn as currently I'm enjoying 94% odds on a golden age next turn; that will mean Theocracy which is basically going to be my endgame civic in that column anyway.

Operation: Vulture is postponed. Scooter's massing infantry, and my count must have been off or something because Lewwyn is a turn later than I thought he'd be. Trailblazers might burn; quantity has a quality all its own. But Trailblazers isn't the main point, the point is Scooter's morale. If he's able to wipe Lewwyn's stack before or after and take China (plus shrine) he's going to be upbeat. Attacking him now would just be kingmaking, and screw that seriously. Nothing I could gain would be worth losing all my eastern islands.
Power. I'm respectable all the sudden but Scooterino is rebounding hardcore.
If nothing else, it's some nice little roughage for the eventual Inca Game. Ironclads don't stop anything, but they make littoral assaults much more expensive. I'll take my new more prickly status with pride...didn't even lose more than a turn of research, yo.
But that's not all that's been going on. This morning, the Great Scientist "Great Scientist" was born...

Requisite shot of "Moai In A Golden Age". It's actually like this but better in most of the core; thanks emancipation!
