That's a nice looking Deck Seven, I think I have everything for it except the Mukla and a Highmane. Would a Cairne and something else (Freezing Trap #2? Rag? Ysera? Eaglehorn Bow #2?) be adequate replacements?

For the Mukla, you could put in another bow, or another freezing trap, or something like razorfen hunter which he recommends and I am very skeptical of. Or maybe like river crocolisk. For the Highmane, there isn't a good replacement I think. You could try the other of freezing/bow, but with only one highmane you might have some trouble with slower matchups. That might just be worth crafting. If you randomly happen to have a gladiator's longbow, you could try that (but then don't run a second eaglehorn). Other cards you could consider are a second flare, and deadly shot.

You don't think Cairne would work as a Highmane replacement? 2 less attack but summons a 4/5, same mana cost, seems like it could work until a second Highmane is gotten.

The beast status of highmane is quite valuable. You can draw one card when you play it, or 2 cards when you trade it into something. And it synergizes with the hyenas, the houndmasters (very important), and the timber wolves. Plus, even ignoring the beast status, it's generally better than cairne - being able to beat for 6 instead of 4 is a big difference. I dunno, you could try cairne, but it's certainly a big step down.

Yeah, it's just until I get a 2nd Highmane. I presume King Mukla is basically just here because he's a Beast?

EDIT: lol I forgot that Highmane is a Rare and not an Epic so it's only 100 dust to craft. Crafted.

Mukla is there as a big creature (good to have another one) who costs 3 mana (you don't have too much to play on turn 3, and you kind of want to play a beast that you can then houndmaster t4). The beastliness is particularly important for him, because of the aforementioned houndmaster reason.

I figured the Mukla into Houndmaster would be a pretty nice play. I'll need to find time to craft him, then.

River Croc is probably a pretty good replacement for a lot less dust than Mukla. He cleans up a lot of aggro small minions without dying and is a great Houndmaster target.

Just a question, since this seems to be the latest hit around RB, are you guys playing this as free players?

Another replacement that occurred to me is Emperor Cobra. I expect it to be particularly nice for the druid matchup at least, which I was wanting to shore up. Considered River Crocolisk too. Actually right now I am trying a trap-less build, because I haven't been running into too much zoo, and the hunter decks all have flares, and the traps are often dead cards. So -2 explosive trap, -1 freezing trap, -1 eaglehorn bow, -1 Mukla (out of necessity), +1 River Crocolisk, +1 Emperor Cobra, +1 Bestial Wrath, +1 Gladiator's Longbow, +1 Deadly Shot. (Trying out a variety cards for testing, partially.) So far lost one and won four. The loss was to a charge rush hunter who played two bows, so I don't think the cards I took out would have helped at all. Two wins against sunshine hunter or variants, one win against a "cycle" hunter (see: gaara's or reynad's list) and one crazy win against druid where I didn't draw a single buzzard or hounds.

@uberfish: basically yeah. I spent $20 at some point because I thought the game was really well done and wanted to support it, but the vast majority of packs have come from arena and quests. Still, treating it was a F2P game certainly limits the number of decks you can build in constructed, and can limit how many arenas you can afford to run, though it doesn't have to.

I'm gradually getting up a reasonable number of available decks, but I'm still missing a lot of key legendaries, even some basic utility ones like Sylvanas and Black Knight, and several major decks are just impossible without them.

I've spent $1.50, which got me the "you spent money" legendary.
