Turn 28
Don't worry retep! I didn't get OH's joke either
So yeah, our scout took Woody II, I actually had noticed that civilopedia did not list Woody III as available for scout, but remembered some conversation about it and thought that it might be possible (pity it isn't). Anyways those promotions made our scout advance with lightning speed:
Wet corn and another beautiful coastal spot. These probably should not be ours anymore, or at least contested, but I'm thinking whether it would be possible to settle for example W of sugar and kind of block these sites from our western neighbor. Depending who we are bordering and what's the real distance it might be too bold, but maybe we could get away with it if our neighbor has not scouted into our direction.. Well, just thinking out loud.

Turn 29
2nd page was uncomfortably close so let's post something:
Our magical Woody II "Scout" plans to use his amazing abilities and move SW-SW next turn..
EDIT: And yeah, we want that 1-tile marble island!

Hmmm, I wonder if that's the only island in these waterways?
The good news is that city B is going to have nice production and be able to give us a galley, the bad news is that now we need early Fishing and Sailing on top of Pottery, AH, Writing, Maths, Currency and Calendar .
Completed: RB Demogame - Gillette, PBEM46, Pitboss 13, Pitboss 18, Pitboss 30, Pitboss 31, Pitboss 38, Pitboss 42, Pitboss 46, Pitboss 52 (Pindicator's game), Pitboss 57

The other good news is that, with land across the water, all our wars will be 500% more successful.

Does anybody think stone would have been better?
Also I didn't catch the final dotmap, can someone point in what page is it?
Btw we all post one after the other, may this be a sign of prosperity.
P.D: I still think novice is your neighbor

Ha! I'm hoping that there could be some islands e.g. NE of our start, and maybe something down south if that tundra really leads into southern edge of the map.
Btw, Fishing and Sailing will be needed earlyish anyways, because we want to lighthouse our lake tiles!

There is stone SW of our capital that could be within our reach. I'm crossing my fingers that we can have both...

I think the city placements in this former plan are still relevant (OH had couple of versions how to settle east coast, but that's still undecided):
I'll try to take an overview pic next turn for discussion. The philosophy here is to pretty much maximize the early speed by getting everything important into first ring of our cities, which leads to some waste and challenges when dot-mapping later in the game.

Just for the record, my current sandbox variations are already clearly stronger than the one above and e.g. in my latest attempt I had also 4 cities but 10 pop points at T50.

Update, update
In that picture cooper is missing, and since is turn 50 your capital pop borders, so you could have a worker ready to connect cooper, in case your need it.
Or maybe you are already did in the more update sandbox.
Also update, update!

We're waiting for Azza to play . Not sure how long for...
Mean time there is a new exciting adventure starting over in Civ general! This probably isn't the best place to advertise is it?
Also, have you got a recent sandbox Fintourist? The last one I have is turn 16.
