T50 Update:
Not much today--dtay annoyed me by blocking off my scout's path to the east, but not much else. Why are you reading this anyway--read my PBEM 58 thread instead for exciting/interesting things!

T51 Report:
Yes, my post is actually a report this time, not an ad
Let's start with the capital area:
Lots of stuff going on--Ravnica started the settler for city 4, Theros can grow in 2 turns after switching to the second farm, and we have our first warrior showing up--hopefully it doesn't cause too many problems though I can always just whip the Impi coming out of Theros instead of a worker if really necessary.
Now in more embarrassing news...
Yeah, my scout's now completely trapped behind other people's borders. I'm guessing I have to declare on someone to get him out of there (and scouting to the east by novice/Krill, as I need to be doing), but both people have archers and multiple warriors--I guess I should declare on dtay since it would be a much less aggressive move (seeing as how I have an Impi walking by Whosit's borders--another option for getting rid of that barb, especially since I should be getting it back to the area by the new city soon). Of course, the problem is that it's going to take multiple turns to get my scout out, and dtay could easily kill it--then again, it's not doing much good trapped behind these borders--maybe I should move it back towards the northern border?

That's encouraging Celiazul--and I actually did a big info dump before even reading your post! (granted, part of that comes from PBEM58 not moving in almost 3 days, so I have the time )
T52 Report:
To start with, let's check the capital area, with some encouraging news about the barbs:
At least it's not coming towards my cities at this point--and my Impi is nearby to get some free experience
In domestic moves, not much has changed--I finished a cottage at Theros and those workers will chop out a worker next, the settler continues to be built at Ravnica, and Zendikar is getting its Granary chopped and building a road to my next city.
Next, let's look at my Impi move--or more precisely, before my Impi move (the capital picture is post-Impi move since I can see the barb warrior):
It appears someone's really scared of my Impi
Either way, that plains hill looks like where Whosit's going to settle--obviously it's for the copper, but it also has the first-ring cow, shares the wheat with the capital, and even claims the incense as a bonus. That means I'm not going to have to worry about him taking any of my territory at least, though I still am planning on settling my new city in the north. I'm planning on making a new northern dotmap soon (though I don't know if it'll make it into this post), so I can figure it out soon--though I still have some time before I can whip the settler.
Before I get to the info dump, the one real question I have left is my tech choice. Right now I have it parked on Sailing, since I want to get a galley over to the western island and hopefully meet more players before known tech bonus comes into play. Of course, I have no clue when it's going to start--is there going to be any indication of when someone enters the classical era? If I had to guess, the most likely is either when someone Oracles something or when Rome decides they want to kill someone with (admittedly nerfed) Praets. Again, I don't know what I want to get--do I get Writing to open up Math so I get better forest chops? Do I try to get Metal Casting to leverage cheap forges and maybe get Colossus? Do I want to trigger the classical era myself, and is that a good or bad thing? Am I massively over-thinking this? (probably not, considering how much PB13 is being warped by the known tech bonuses in that game)
As I said, I'll do an info dump, but I'll save it for the next post

If you think pb13 is a good template, then why would you want to lead the world into the tech warp? everyone benefits, so just sit back, relax, and approach the event horizon with your eyes open.

T52 Info Dump:
To start with, here's a graph I would normally never need to use, but it's required by the size of the game (and my low screen resolution ): the score graph!
This is interesting--if you check the score leaderboard, I'm actually near the top of what I can see--I'm currently 11th. Yet, I'm still below the three other people on my continent--granted, I'm above Whosit and Krill now, likely because of whips, but I'll be whipping my capital soon, so that will bring my score down a peg or two. Of course, the real story here is dtay--his capital's on the top cities list, and yet he has 4 cities already. This seems like a really strong continent, which obviously should worry one of the real rookies here
Next we have a graph I'm familiar with from my constant PBEM58 check-ins: the power graph:
I'm surprised at Whosit's power jump--part of it's that he researched Archery early and put it to use, but that's still a surprising jump--Impis are going to help my case, as will eventually researching Archery, but I don't think I need it quite yet, especially since Whosit hasn't even hooked up his copper yet.
Third, we have Celiazul's request: the demos screen!
Honestly, it's surprisingly crappy--though it's exaggerated by a lot since I'm working food in Theros to grow and food/hammers in Ravnica to build my settler, and it'll similarly be exaggerated in the other direction when I start building the worker in Theros next turn and I get the EXP boost on my hammers (notably the copper mine, though I might be able to rearrange things to get another mine worked; probably by giving the grassland mine back to Theros and making Zendikar work the Spices--I might even log back in and have Zendikar work the spices this turn, along with turning off my research (or at least cutting back to a surplus).
Finally, we have the top cities screen:
Someone's dethroned the lurker civ for first place! Still at 5 pop though--that's surprising, considering the massive GNP advantage. I guess it's a creative civ with a library? It's not important; just a curiosity
Anyway, I plan on making an updated dotmap in the near future; I'll post that when I make it, and I'll also update if I do make changes before the turn rolls.

T53 Update:
Not much here--Whosit did settle his new city as expected, I killed the barb warrior with my Impi, but I decided not to chop the southern forest at Theros for two reasons:
- Theros actually completes the worker in 4 turns--exactly even
- I wanted to road the tile 1E of Ravnica so I could get the settler settled a turn early, but I forgot that it's crossing multiple rivers, making the road basically worthless until Construction--oh well :/
I also took a fresh picture for my soonish dotmap, as well as a new demos shot (I'm 5th in production now, just as I predicted thanks to EXP), but before I can work on planning for this game, I need to play the PBEM58 turn--as much as I really don't want to

T53 Report:
This is mainly for the dotmap, but I might as well give a general overview while I'm here:
Not much to show--I probably should be chopping a bit more at Zendikar, but nothing's that urgent at this point there. Now to the dotmap!
There's two main things you should notice from this dotmap compared to what I've said before:
- Yes, the cities skip from 3 to 6--cities 4 and 5 are the horses city I've discussed before and a city that claims the fur--I actually think there's another city between Theros and the fur city I could found soon-ish soon (the one on the one grassland tile that claims a bunch of food)--I'll try to remember to get a good southern picture and dotmap that next turn.
- In order to place the good city 2 spot, that means I have to move the planned city 3 1SE, which means it's not nearly as good (the wheat isn't first-ring, and it doesn't share the copper)

Just to let you know, I'm still here and playing the turns--not much is going on; though I am building a lot more settlers than I thought I would--not only is Theros going to go to a settler after it finishes the Worker, I started Zendikar on a Settler since it's going to be getting a lot of overflow, both since I whipped the granary and I'm getting a chop or two in. I might get a report done next turn, but we'll see how busy I am.
