Jabbz, I recommend that you ask Jowy questions in PM about game technicalities (just my opinion, of course). Previously, people have been suspected on basis of talking a lot about mechanics and rules in the game thread as it's a way to seem active and up your post count while contributing nothing at all. It would be prudent to see us as competitors rather than friends for the duration of the game. Welcome to RB, and I hope you have fun with this game however it turns out.
I'll put a more serious vote on Mattimeo as I want him out of the bush this game. If he's scum, his lurking tendencies can be fatal to us. On a less serious note, that setup randomization gives me a headache just thinking about working out power role claims later on...

There's no separate voting phase, like in live games. Names in red count as votes. When we reach the deadline, the player with the most votes is lynched.
Very quick turnaround by Goreripper there. Possibly something scum would avoid. I am still thinking about it.
If you know what I mean.

Sunrise for now. I'm not sure I buy the "Yay I'm town but I hate day 1" routine.
If you know what I mean.

Also, you can change your vote as often as you like.
I generated the vote tally using this tool:

It's pretty nifty for forum mafia play - it counts votes for you, and it lets you filter the thread to just show a subset of the posters, which is useful when you're investigating a specific suspect.
I have to run.

Gah, didn't realise the game would get started so quickly from the startup phase.
It's currently 04:30 and I'm in desperate need of sleep. Will attempt actual content (as far as that's possible D1) when I get up. So probably midday :/

Do you really need elaboration? Or do we have another pair with you and Jabbz?
I don't get the pair comment.
Yes I would have appreciated elaboration, but now you've refused to answer and just turned the question back on me, thus not having to explain yourself at all.
Q, I do not think it was obviously a joke. Yes, he has mentioned it before, and his bringing it up now in a lighthearted manner seems less like a joke and more like trying to introduce the idea and leaving the door open to revisit the concept later. He did say he'd like to do it day two. He may just be kidding, but the fact that he was so hesitant to explain himself at all makes me think he was feeling sensitive about it. I'm sure a scum Rowain would be very happy to be able to get a wagon going on a townie zak or novice on day 2.

Honestly from a pure theoretical PoV lynching one of you/novice increases town chances greatly. But I like the lynch zak/novice on Day2 approach better ![wink wink](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/wink2.gif)

Worst thing I've seen so far is Azarius' grabbing on this. Regardless on whether you subscribe to it, Rowain's opinions on how to approach novice/zak are pretty well known. And even if he had missed this - I forget how frequently Azarius has played, and that stopped being big a wee while ago - it was pretty obviously a joke, and his grabbing onto it in this way feels weird, especially as it was one of the first non-joking posts.
Azarius
Zak, I had the same reaction to the Sunrise anecdote. I doubt it's important, however.
All: I am going to be pretty inactive this game in general. While I should be around enough to play, I wasn't exactly expecting it to start so fast, and particularly this weekend won't have much time to post. So it was obviously a joke, but it was one of the first non-joking posts? Qgqqqqq.

I can vouch for Jabbz not knowing all the rules. I was planning on giving him an overview of how the forum version works, but the game got rolling more quickly than I expected it would, and I can't exactly explain things to him now for obvious reasons. Him asking in thread makes me lean town on him, as I don't think he'd hesitate to ask his questions in the scum thread instead. That being said:

Like I said,it's all about the long term survival. Sloth can be quite the survival trait..
I'm not sure how it was in the live games you played, but in this if the village wins then all townies win regardless if they are alive at the end or not, so (assuming you are town) survival isn't necessarily your #1 priority.
Also, I am glad you are playing again Commoripper, I missed your posting style.
