In fact, just the opposite, you voted someone who hadn't shown up yet.

And then, rather than continuing the trend and voting for the other person who hadn't shown up, you vote for the person who joined you on the "person who hasn't posted" wagon?
You're not making a lot of sense here.

Also, while I appreciate that it's most likely a joke, could we please not do this:

Just tends to foster ill will all 'round.

...and it appears I fail at reading comprehension. Completely missed the "the bush" in Catwalk's post, until GoreRipper claimed the line was full of hedging and got me to re-look at it in detail, since I hadn't really attributed 'hedging' to it when I initially read it.
While voting for the lurker really is lazy voting, it is simply lazy, rather than malicious (as I was incorrectly reading Catwalk's motives). So, apologies for misrepresenting your views, Catwalk.

I really can't make much sense of GoreRipper here. He wasn't voting me for lurking, else he would have moved it to Hashoosh, who hadn't shown up at that point. And he shifts the vote to Catwalk, who joined him in voting for a lurker, because Catwalk felt the need to explain why lurking is bad? I don't get it :/

Busy day, catching up.

Yeah, in (I think) WW1 and WW2. I was a seer in one of those games to boot. I don't think I've been town since, but I may have forgotten a game.

(May 27th, 2014, 12:57)zakalwe Wrote: Sunrise for now. I'm not sure I buy the "Yay I'm town but I hate day 1" routine.

Zak doesn't really read scum to me, but Zak seems to rarely read scum, so...

Basically, this annoys me but maybe it shouldn't. Obviously I expect myself to know my posting history more than another player, but I'm sure you're aware I've been scum twice recently, and I believe I've posted twice in recent lurker threads and also posted in-game in my last scum game that I don't like D1 play for obvious reasons. So while that's no town tell IMHO (since I'd probably say it if scum), it's also something I think is very in-character for someone who in fact would have reason to want to be town and does in fact dislike ww d1s.

Novice, why add the vote to me? No commentary, and zak already expressed his displeasure with my initial post earlier in the thread.

In the television show The Walking Dead the zombies are called walkers because the show is scared of using the zed word because of cooties or some thing.

That's what I thought, but then what is Ryan talking about?

Neither scum nor town are Zombies IIUC.

@Sunrise: No reason really, just backing up Zak's vote while waiting for people to show up.

I think you're grasping for straws Goreripper, voting someone without stating a reason is generally frowned upon and followed with a "Why did you vote for him?". I also don't see a big deal about making a tiny comment about the updated setup info, I couldn't access the wiki page earlier. Voting him with a "check in please" is more scummy as it lets you look active while making no commitment whatsoever to your vote.

@Novice - I think it's just poetic license...we're the good guys from the show and walkers are the bad guys. Of course it could also be some terrible slip-up smile

This is what GoreRipper calls laziness. It's not the same as lurking.

Hashoosh, what devil was Brick speaking of? Richard Nixon?

Don't have time but respond to this quickly. His was obviously (IMO) a joke, and that you chose to seize on that and turn it into an accusation was odd, especially as your post was one of the first non joking ones.

Fair enough, I thought you were referring to his post being the non-joking post, not my own. I can see how you could have meant it as you say. Back to Rowain then.

And yes, Jabbz's last post is pretty bad. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt since I remember how rough it was starting out, and I had lurked several games before I tried one. That's why I want him to elucidate his statement, as depending on how exactly he meant it I can sort of agree.

Basically I agree with this.

Unvote for now. Rowain, time to show us that the tempo loss was justified.

Quote:Q, I do not think it was obviously a joke. Yes, he has mentioned it before, and his bringing it up now in a lighthearted manner seems less like a joke and more like trying to introduce the idea and leaving the door open to revisit the concept later. He did say he'd like to do it day two. He may just be kidding, but the fact that he was so hesitant to explain himself at all makes me think he was feeling sensitive about it. I'm sure a scum Rowain would be very happy to be able to get a wagon going on a townie zak or novice on day 2.

Thanks. I do agree that Rowain tends to have a "pointed" aspect to many of his comments, so however innocuous it looked to me I get where you are coming from.

How was I lazy, Commodore? Or are you saying his actions were lazy?
Either way, I disagree. I was reading scum on him because he seemed to be putting too much effort into bringing a tell to light, not too little. And, I don't get it for me either - I saw a tell and elaborated as to why I thought it was one, which is lazy how?

Azarius, I am a little concious of pushing Jabbz too much (especially given my first performances), but I just don't understand his comment at all.

I agree totally with Mattimeo's most recent comment on Goremodore, his play hasn't seemed to make sense this game. Goreripper, deserves watching.

But for now, I still want to hear from Jabbz.
