Vile portents of barbarian two-movers aside, I'm moving my new spear to try and get a promotion from some slower barbs.
Rejoice, my volk, we're the proud owners of Cyrenaica, city #5. Holy crap this is a good city; I want it working those lovely riverside grasslands as cottages post-haste.
I'd also love to get a border pop there but that's obviously going to have to be by force because my religion still has yet to spread.

So anyway. Nobody commiserated with my tragic loss. Look how brave they were! Savages.
And what I mistakenly showed before was Germanica, plugging away at the Colossus. I'm going to shave a turn by working the PH mine.
More awkwardly to set up is Augusta; I set it to grow at end of turn; then of course the plan is to finagle 6h overflow the next from the forge, so that the next turn is an elegant 25h into a settler, perfect for a 2-pop whip. I'm actually nabbing Masonry right quick so that I can start dumping overflow into the Pyramids. Plus, well, I need OR badly.
THE IMPERIUM: 1160 BC
That was this morning; the evening I played t72. I set up for a chariot whip on the awful off chance that I can't whack the wounded barb on flatland.
Cyrenica at last has pigs online. Sheep will be ready for size 2 and then a riverside cottage for size 3. This sucker is getting whipped hard.
Still no spreads. Which is about as bad odds as losing that spear.

Well we are rooting for the Barbarians but didn't find it fitting to celebrate in your thread
About the religion. I have found that Budd+Hind always need along time till they start spreading.

I note that Commodore left out the poll with the Die to Barbarians option for this game

It's okay. I have long held that counting on free spreads was foolish anyway; OR is a big deal.

Wow that spear vs warrior fight really sucked... for the warrior. The poor guy took a lot of damage and will probably die to the next unit you attack with.

Are non-animal barb two-movers a real thing in PB games?

Are non-animal barb two-movers a real thing in PB games? I don't...think so? Maybe in a rare odd case of a city spawning on horse.
