Well, he played T61 himself.
I have to run.

Out of curiosity, what's the policy now in the event of an unrequested pause? 6h? or until a lurker plays?
I'm getting a repeated and consistent time-out error sorry - I had hoped it was just the storm issue posted upthread - and can't log in. Have requested lurker play.

Have requested lurker play. I guess you or your ISP might still be experiencing re-routing issues... Hopefully the issue resolves itself soon. In the meantime let's hope Lord Parkin or someone else can come to the rescue.

In case it's DNS related, have you tried using the IP address, i.e. connecting to 87.252.70.182:2058 ?
I mentioned this in the PYFT thread, but I'll say it here as well.
You may have noticed there was an 8+ hour delay before I got to the turn this time. This is because the time Pitboss timer lagged about 6-8 hours behind 24 real time hours, so the end of the turn happened when I was asleep. The nature of this little job means I have to play near the turn flip every day, so I need some consistency and predictability in the turn flip times. As such, I'd strongly recommend reducing the Pitboss turn timer to 19-20 hours so it's closer to 24-26 real time hours. Otherwise you'll periodically have to deal with 6-8 lag hours + another 8-10 hours waiting for me to turn up (unless someone else is around). Suggested it to Caledorn and he seemed unsure if the majority would be happy with it. Up to you guys, but with the current system you're never going to do better than about 4 turns per week on average even with me helping out. |
