All this fire emblem talk and no mention of why the first USA GBA release is the best of them all?

Hmm, I'm actually undecided on which one I think is the best. I actually haven't played awakening (I plan to get a 3DS basically just to play it later this summer) so I can't include that, but either The Blazing Sword (the subtitle "Fire Emblem" had in it's Japanese release) or Path of Radiance was my personal favorite at least.

Though the last few hours of Radiant Dawn was definately my favorite single section of a FE game. RD is just dragged down by a boring first half. Picks up once you get Ike's peoples in Chapter 3 (much discussed already i know, so I won't repeat).

But then Sacred Stones holds the most nostalgia for me cause it's the first one I played. Objectively it's def not the best though.

Conclusion: I'm terminally undecided and useless and all Fire Emblem is awesome crazyeye

Minor Discussion of Civ:
Military screen has 35 commodore destroyers visible. Yeah... I can't do anything against that. I'll delay the loss of the critical coastal cities as long as possible, but I just will be unable to reclaim the waters ever. And that is the sign of a inevitable, if hopefully slow, decline. I've been losing cities at a pretty brisk pace, but only Sleeper was a really good city, and after that only We Returned was even non-filler. The rest were really just wealth/coast pumps.

I'm again morbidly interested in how this plays out at the end. I didn't check how many infantry I actually have, but by the end might break 100. And I think around 30 kanone, and then smatterings of machine guns and cavalry. Those infantry have to die somehow... who's going to do it?

Because that is self evident?

Basically no real update on land. Just a stalemate as no one can advance. Commodore is probably on his way with new shiny units though.

However, at sea, I decided to roll some dice and boy did it pay off. AGAIN I basically eliminated Finharry's fleet

I couldn't find any destroyers in range, but I needed all my airships for bombing so there could be some in the fog. If not though, I have a ton of c3 destroyers now.

Congrats on the naval successes!

what could you have done differently while your great start was still giving you advantages?

I.e. what have you learned?

Sorry for lack of reporting, I've just had very little time to devote to civ so playing the turns takes up pretty much all of the time i can put into it. Hopefully I should have copious free time tomorrow, so I'll update all my games then. Just letting everyone know I haven't given up on providing pictures all together lol

I'm very much enjoying this game, so I vote to continue. Like I said in the tech thread though, not sure my vote should count for much since I'm by far out of contention.

Well played dtay, you made me banghead all over again about moving the destroyers into your vision (I still have no idea why I did that - I knew you could see that tile duh) would you have gone for Agincourt without that slip and/or the silly demand I made for your island cities?

I'm glad you did either way - the fighting was the most fun I had all game, you were totally on the ball though and kept punishing every one of my mistakes rolleye.
