Turn 37. More exploration.

A closer look at the power graph seems to indicate a second wolf rider for Ellimist.

Again, banghead. How does he keep hitting the jackpot with his slow, pathetic little goblins?

Turn 38 save file issues sorted out.

After growing onto the cotton, but not moving my capital back to the high food tiles, demos improve a bit:

Turn 39 opens with a pop-up.

Sorry, people, I think we agreed not to do that in the tech thread.

Ellimist *still* hasn't built a second city. Not sure what he's doing: warren first, maybe?

Turn 40. I just realized I had Inhibit Growth turned on while my warrior was built. Oops.

I'm now the only bozo with a size five capital.

Ellimist still hasn't built a second city; his power graph is flat.

Turn 41. Ancient Chants finished at EoT.

Which boosts my GNP nicely:

Still no second city for Ellimist.

Turn 44. I missed a couple turn reports, but not much happened. This shot is before ending turn. Gallant Fox will grow to its happy cap. The northern workers (tooltip listing) will finish farming the grassland next turn; the southern worker (bottom of screen unit thumbnails) just finished roading the forest.

Ellimist finally built his second city on turn 43. Demos are decent but not great.

Turn 45. An event:

I went with door number one. Temporary happiness is pretty worthless, but health is usually not a problem, and population loss plus unhappies would be a heavy penalty.

Turn 47. The highlighted workers will build a road under the settler so they can pasturize the cows on the turn the city is built.

I probably should have held back one of my scouts, to avoid paying supply costs, but I really want to protect my settler and workers.

Edit: after taking these screenies, I switched tiles in Gallant Fox from the forested grassland hill to a riverside plain, sacrificing a hammer to gain one commerce.

Turn 48. Settler, workers, and escorts are all in position (and costing me 2 gpt in support).

Turn 49. New city with instant pasture. Yay. Monument first: I'm not a fan of monuments, but the resource spread is awkward. And at least Omaha has decent production. I just hope I haven't settled on copper.

Demos are looking good.

Ellimist is not the top power; he's been flat since his second big jump.
