Yay! Finally captured Jowy's capital...and with no more losses this time. With any luck (about 70% odds with the first unit) I should be able to take his last city next turn. I have 3 total units within range (a Sword, an Axe, & a Chariot) and all he has is a single Archer in there unless he's able to whip something else this turn.
I have been at war with Jowy since 2160BC (Turn 46) and it is now 78 turns later that I finally capture his capital.....this has been a LOOOONG war. Wonder if any other RB game has had two players at war (and at a near standstill for most of it) for this long, or if I've just made a new record.

And with this turn, Jowy is finally eliminated as I was able to take his last city with a Sword against his Archer without any losses. It was even only 62% odds. Now to just trudge along until someone decides to invade me, and see if I can outlast someone else and not be the next person eliminated. I'm at least not on the very bottom.

GG HAK! Before I read anything, just wanted to come say that you were really close to making it work. If I hadn't been researching Sailing or you had attacked even two turns earlier with the first axe, I wouldn't have gotten the axes out and would have been eliminated quickly. So I think you did the right thing rushing me and it was the best opportunity for you to make a competitive game out of that start.

Thanks. It was quite the game changer...and quite the game in general. This was my first ever attempt at an early rush. So it was a really good learning experience. A couple of those battles I timed badly...but the worst was my forgetting the mechanics of Chariots...since for some reason I thought they had the 100% vs Axes even on defense...so when I had those Chariots out in the open that you killed, that wouldn't have happened if I waited for a Spear to get there as backup. And things just went downhill from there.

Well, at least I killed Jowy before I was killed myself...since this spells my doom....
I knew it would happen soon, but didn't expect it the very next turn after eliminating Jowy. Guess I should have been keeping a closer eye on my neighbors, but since most of the time I was rushing my turns a bit I was only looking at Jowy. Otherwise I would have seen the buildup of galleys in Ataturk's city.
I'll be sending my military back, but it won't be in time to save the city, or even the new city I just settled, most likely. Plus I'll end up losing a worker or two with my luck. And worse is that I'm going to lose all this gold that I just acquired from Jowy. Since the city will fall this turn before I've had time to use it for research.

50 turns later and you're still alive. How goes your doom?
On the pitboss portal you're in 17th place. Thats pretty close to top half of the starting field... will your prospects improve? What goals have you considered for the game going forward?

A cute little fiefdom, the perfect starter empire for some upcoming warlord.
You should proabably sell high! :-)
JK, keep up the good work. Is there any opportunity for expansion?

That little kingdom is almost absurdly pleasing to the eye.
Man did Xenu miss out on a prize; Loopy is amazing.
