Is this the same thing as that Pitboss fix that was talked about a little while ago? And if so, do I need to do anything about it on my Mac, since the "beta" version doesn't seem to be available for Mac (I can't find an answer in either of the threads)?

Edit: Actually reading elsewhere it sounds like I should be fine, if this is the same thing we're talking about.

Well I too have the CD version. I posted the worldbuilder save in the lurker thread. If the problem is on my end creating the save, someone else can give it a try.

Yes this is exactly the same thing as the pitboss fix. If you are running the new steam MP version that does not allow direct ip connection, then a pbem game with locked modified assets is not compatible between that and the older CD versions. A download of the beta release is fine if you never play online or a switch between versions with both on your hard drive can also be done.
