FWIW, I don't think Seven is completely at fault here. After all it takes two people to complete a city trade.
As long as this doesn't happen again, I'm fine with just playing on. I don't really care too much about punishments, but if it makes people feel better if Seven starves the city/pillage the tiles then do it even though it doesn't matter much in the big picture.
To avoid stuff like this happening in the future, I think someone should edit the first post of the tech thread or signup thread with the rules so it's easier for people to find.
Oh and can someone pause the game for Mackoti? I can't do it right now.

Game paused, first post of this thread edited.
I don't really care too much about the mistake at this point except that I'm really embarrassed. I don't think it affected the game meaningfully and I don't think a penalty would affect it meaningfully either. I can do more turns of citizens if people want, or whatever.

It sounds like you're gonna punish yourself harder than any of us would want to, so just do what you think is best....

I say that the punishment should be to let the AI play his civ for 2 turns!
Honestly, like I said, I don't know what's appropriate. After thinking about it, I just say "warning delivered; don't do it again" and let's continue.

Wait a minute, why hasn't Krill ask to replace Seven for the game and permabanned from the forum yet?
Why isn't Noble making any amussing post about how terrible this is it?
I post about this in my thread although I don't really care because I'm losing.

Only finally catching up in the thread after not having time to be around yesterday, and being out at a Ren Faire all day today.
I also of course apologize for that peace treaty/city thing. It never even crossed my mind that it was against the rules, as I completely forgot about that aspect of things. I logged in, saw that I was doomed either way, and took the peace offer hoping the 10-turn delay of him declaring war again would give me enough time to find a way to survive. Or that he'd actually stop there for longer than just the 10 turns. Silly me.

(EDIT: Removing spoilers)
Hey folks,
I made a goof. I had two diplomatic offers when I logged in, and I accidentally double-clicked "accept" on the first offer, which then proceeded to accept the second offer before I even saw what it was. The only thing I caught before it flew by is that I was asked for gold. I didn't see who asked or if anything was offered in return, though no new trades showed up in my diplomacy screen.
It's not worth trying to correct it -- it was a small amount of gold -- but I would just like to know who made the demand and if anything was offered in return that I didn't see. If the culprit wants to PM to avoid being outed here, that's fine, I just want to know who I gave it to.
EDIT2: Found out what happened, so all is well now.
