I don't what you should do, but I'm very interested in what you actually do do.
I had a neighbor-is-way-too-close-what-the-hell-do-I-do freakout like this in PB20 and decided to do the "I really have no idea how you play this aside from flipping the table or rolling over and deciding you've lost" strategy, which did not work out too well. I achieved the bare-minimum objectives that I had thought were important, but then was miserable playing my turns for months afterwards.
So, the one thing I can say is, regardless of what happens, remember that you have to keep playing the game until it ends!

Maybe I sounded too hopeful in that report because every city location brought us back to the same conclusion: that we're screwed before we could even plant a city. I would cancel the settler and do an axe rush right now except the fastest I can get that copper hooked up is turn 25 and 5 turns seems way too late. Maybe the answer is to warrior rush him? I'd really love people to try and solve this puzzle in the lurker thread, because I have no clue what the answer is.
I flipped the table last time I got screwed by a map; I'd hate to become predictable. We were joking about building Henge in the 2nd city, but it'd be a miracle if Commodore doesn't get it first. Or Dazed with his PHI Egypt. That's why our only warrior is going towards Commodore - to disrupt him; hopefully he didn't count on us figuring he was going to do this and he has to scramble to deal with the warrior. Because while we were expecting the city and figured we could live with that, the fact that he got a holy city is just backbreaking. Every other direction except Commodore is a chokepoint and he just claimed it in a way that we can't respond to. Dammit, now I'm starting to get pissed again. It's three games in a row where I've been screwed like this; I'd love to play a game where I haven't lost on turn 0 for once.
Commodore told me that he moved his warrior to the forest NW of our warrior. I'm thinking we declare and move onto the plains forest to the west. Stick to defensive terrain, work our way towards his capital.
OH YEAH. It's 2014 and Rick Rolling still never gets old!
EDIT: Oh god, sometimes I should stay away from Youtube....So this is actually real:
That may be the worst Youtube video I've ever seen.
Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon
That may be the most appropriate response I think anybody had made about this game, xenu. I'm going to send it along to Commodore instead of the next save
Yessssssss! So far I'm winning two threads in this game now. Yours and THH's for finding his hydra winged wolf thingy avatar.
(Ok I'm not actually winning anything here. But according to what you guys chatted about above today's post count is getting damn close to a war declaration post count interpretation, so I guess that's helping? )

I have nothing constructive to add, so here's some topical twitch spam...
Hello guys, I'm back from my 600 seconds timeout. During that time I was able to finish my 200 words essay on the topic of Nazi Germany. My thesis is that Hitler & Nazi beliefs are carried on by Commodore who likes to act as if he himself were literally Hitler. I think I should score at least 90 out of 100 points for that paper. Pls no Rodolfo Valentino it's only my life.
